DENVER – August 19, 2009 – With nearly non-stop music from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m., KBDI Channel 12 has transformed Saturday nights into one of the best one-two musical punches in television.

Austin City Limits has moved from its longtime Friday night spot to Saturday nights at 9 p.m., 12 midnight and once more at 2 a.m.  Legends and Lyrics will follow at 10 p.m. 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Upcoming Austin City Limits performers include Lyle Lovett (Aug. 22), My Morning Jacket (Aug. 29). The Dixie Chicks (Sept. 5) and Sufjan Stevens and Calexico (Sept. 26).

On Legends & Lyrics, upcoming performers include Kris Kristofferson, Patty Griffin and Randy Owen (Aug. 22), Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx and 3 Doors Down (Aug. 29) and Leigh Nash from Sixpence None the Richer, Mindy Smith and Reggie Hamm (Sept. 5) and Michael Martin Murphy, Pam Tillis and Ron Rexsmith (Sept. 26).

For over 30 years the award-winning Austin City Limits has highlighted all types of music ranging from rhythm and blues to rock, jazz and alternative music.  Inspired by the booming music scene in Austin, TX, Austin City Limits consistently draws in some of the best musical talent in the world.

Legends and Lyrics focuses on the unique art of songwriting.  The show covers all genres of music showcasing famous recording artists who write the majority of their own songs joined by highly talented hit-song poets who the artists sometimes call on to write a song.  Together, the artists and poets share stories of song creation and perform hit songs and new releases.

A full schedule of air times for all of the programs can be found at www.KBDI.org.
