Ok, so maybe pesticide-free viewing is a stretch but it’s not off the mark to say that tuning into channel 12 to feed your and your children’s brain, teach you a trick or two about cooking, fill you up with news and information on local, regional, national and international issues and satisfy your curiosity on topics of all flavors.
On Thursday, February 10, nine Whole Foods Markets in the Denver metro area will participate to donate five percent of net store proceeds to CPT12 for a community giving day.
On this date, Whole Foods Market shoppers will not only help to support the great programming on Colorado Public Television with their purchases, but they will also be invited to enter to win an Apple iPad™ upon checkout at participating locations.
Whole Foods Market stores supporting this metro-wide community giving day on behalf of Colorado Public Television include Belmar, Cherry Creek, Colorado Boulevard, Capitol Hill, Highlands Ranch, Southglenn, Tamarac, Washington Park and Westminster.
But wait! There’s more! In support of this community giving day, Joy Stoddard from the Whole Planet Foundation will be in town to participate in a roundtable discussion on “Studio 12” along with Rob Smith of the Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute to discuss micro lending as a strategy to eradicate poverty world-wide on Wednesday, February 9. “Studio 12” airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm and is the only live call-in program in Colorado.
Partnering with Whole Foods and the Whole Planet Foundation makes good economic and social sense for CPT12. Whole Foods customers are discerning, insightful and community-minded people who crave the thoughtful and educational programming we air.
Put your shopping list together and mark your calendar for February 10. We’ll see you on-air and at Whole Foods! Details of the 5% day are online at cpt12.org.
