Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore’s Dilemma — one of the books credited with really launching the organic and local food movement — will be in town Wednesday, February 29, at the Paramount Theater, 1621 Glenarm Place, Denver.
Sponsored by Ekar Farm and Grow Local, the benefit for Ekar will begin at 7:30 p.m. and provide an insider’s account of the food system. Pollan has also written Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual and In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto.
It appears there are two ticket options, with an “Ekar Supporter” at $75 and a VIP package at $180 per person. The VIP reception begins at 6 p.m. with Pollan and gets you drinks, hors d’ouevres, and tickets in the first five rows; most of the ticket price goes to Ekar Farm. Ten dollars of each supporter ticket goes to Ekar Farm as well.
