Oil Painters of America’s Twenty-first Annual National Exhibition of Traditional Oils will be held at the Evergreen Fine Art Gallery, in Evergreen, Colorado, June 22 - July 21, 2012.
Located about one-half hour west of Denver, Evergreen Fine Art Gallery is near the Elk Meadow, an area of natural beauty which will afford artists innumerable opportunities for painting mountain meadows, wildflower glens, wildlife and other picturesque views while enjoying the aroma of acres of Ponderosa Pines. Other area activities include hiking, boating, biking and fishing.
An opening reception will be held for artists, collectors, the public and the press on Friday, June 22 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. As in the past, many informative and educational seminars will be offered to OPA members and guests.
Our goal is to assemble the finest display of representational oil paintings. The focus in the jurying process will be to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color, and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.
The total awards will be in excess of $75,000, including a $25,000 Best In Show.
The awarding juror will be internationally renowned Master Signature member Quang Ho OPAM. We are also proud to present Daniel Greene OPAM as our distinguished artists for the 2012 OPA National Exhibition.
