Original message: I watched a travel show on China the other night (the one with the young woman as host), and they showed this guy cutting off the head of a snake and dripping its blood into a drink. I couldn't believe it! That's not what I want to see on PBS (or any place else). I was really freaked out. I know China is horrible to animals. That's why I never would want to go there. But do I have to be forced to see something like this unexpectedly?! I do avoid watching gratuitous violence in movies, on TV, or anywhere. I did NOT appreciate being unwittingly subjected to this.
