Original message: Is there a way I can obtain either a printed transcript of the interview or a CD copy of this interview? Due in part to my hearing loss and the age of my computer I can not understand what is being said during the interview. I knew Don during the time he was a student at VanderCook College in Chicago. I attended one of his recitals in the Fine Arts Building in Chicago at the time he was studying with Lillian Poenish. If you are not familiar with Lillian Poenish please see what Time Magazine said about her. She was instrumental in opining the door of opportunity to women musicians. In 1926 women could not play in symphonies----the Women's Orchestra that she helped found continued to 1947. Time Magazine said that that was the best women's orchestra in the US. Back to Don Ambler--I was not a fellow student--my stepfather H.E. Nutt the co founder of VanderCook College and co founder of the Midwest Clinic H.E., my mother and I lived in the Vandercook Buildings- I saw and knew Don During Summer Sessions--during Holidays and occasional week ends when I came in from school in Wisconsin. Again, I would appreciate either a printed transcript or a CD of the Memorial Extended Interview with Don Ambler. Valerie Forster-Gorski Stepdaughter of H.E. Nutt co founder of VanderCook College in Chicago and co founder of The Midwest Clinic
