Original message: If you want to increase viewers you need to look at the things you do to discourage them from continuing to watch your programs. You're loosing viewers (at least I turn off your programs as do some of my friends) In the midst of high points in programs you blast a noise to alert viewers of an impending weather alert and then announce the alert...cutting off the program. Take a look at your competitors! They make a sound that grabs the viewer's attention without a blast. Then they use a data strip at the bottom of the screen for the announcement. I know this because I leave the program you've just blasted and watch other channels instead. Does the message need to be made? Absolutely! There are ways that are far more up-to-date than what you use. Get with current ways to relate information without ticking off viewers like me.
