Original message: Though I had to get up early the next morning, I stayed up to watch "Our Summer In Tehran" (11:30 PM tuesday 5 April). I was going to go to bed, but at the last minute saw the title of this program during its introduction and figured I would give it five minutes. I stayed up to see the entire program because it was fascinating and refreshing to see and learn about some of the aspects of middle class living in Tehran. Many details were covered. To keep this short, though, the most significant accomplishment of this one-hour program was to give us a positive view of the three families as people we would be glad to have as neighbors and friends. It is a perspective that needs to be broadcast more widely to counter the hateful views of muslims we hear so much more about.
