Original message: Were people who went to work for City and State governments told that their wages would a less than in the private sector, but, "you'll have more job security and benefits? That's what I was told years ago. For civil engineers it was certainly true when I joined the workforce. So now is there a "bait and switch" going on when government workers are told that they get too many benefits, and your guests say the same thing? Ratio of pay of CEO to that of the average worker: Germany, 12 to 1, USA, 475 to 1. I guess that suggests we should cut the benefits of the average worker.
