Original message: Colby King on the August 31 program says Paul Ryan's speech was full of lies. Then he says blacks at the RNC only sang patriotic songs. Really. Did he miss Condi Rice's moving address about how a little girl from the segregated South could become Secretary of State? Did he not see Ms King, black woman running for Congress from UT, give a powerful speech? Did he not see Hispanic governors, Senate candidates, and a Latin athlete from the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics speak? Did he only watch the hour of network coverage or MSCNC which cut away any time people of color spoke? It will be interesting to see how many black and Hispanic governors the DNC features this week. If Paul Ryan's speech was full of lies (and I make no such concessions) then Colby comments were full of distortions. James Penfold
