Cara DeGette is a veteran Colorado journalist. Before joining Colorado Public News, Cara was a founder and longtime executive editor at the Colorado Springs Independent, as well as the online news organization ColoradoIndependent.com. Cara is immediate past president of the Colorado Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and is the recipient of numerous national and regional journalism awards, including from the Education Writers Association and the Association of Alternative Newsmedia.
Carol McKinley has been an award-winning journalist in Colorado for nearly 30 years. In addition to her work as a broadcast, radio and print reporter for Colorado Public News, she is also a network producer for ABC's Good Morning America, World News and Nightline. She is also a graduate student at the University of Denver in Religious Studies.
Drew Jaynes is a full-time WordPress developer at 10up, a distributed WordPress consultancy firm. He joined the Colorado Public News team first as a Web intern Spring 2010 and was later brought on to manage the CPN website in the fall of that same year.
Colorado Public News’ Founding Editor Ann Imse has also worked as an investigative journalist with the Rocky Mountain News and Orange County Register. As an Associated Press Moscow correspondent, Ann covered the collapse of the Soviet Union. She has also worked as an economics and business reporter.
