CLASSICAL STRETCH: THE ESMONDE TECHNIQUE delivers an effective total-body workout developed more than 10 years ago by Miranda Esmonde-White. Each half-hour episode features Esmonde-White, a former National Ballet of Canada dancer, performing her graceful routine in picturesque locations throughout Mexico. Her method combines scientific stretching, PNF (a manual resistance technique), tai-chi, yoga, ballet, physiotherapy and chiropractic movements. These exercises reach deeply into muscles and ligaments, unlocking rigid muscles one-by-one, and leaving the participant more flexible, relaxed and energized.
