NEW TANGLEWOOD TALES, which first began as a web series, spotlights the professional and personal lives of six Fellows from the 2014 class of the Tanglewood Music Center, the Boston Symphony Orchestra's prestigious summer music academy that takes place at Tanglewood, one of the world's most preeminent summer music festivals, located in the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. The five episodes focus on the heart of the Tanglewood Music Center experience, the close instruction TMC Fellows receive from the musicians of the BSO through master classes and coachings by preeminent personalities in the classical music world including cellist Yo-Yo Ma, pianist Manny Ax and mezzo-soprano, Stephanie Blythe. Boston Pops Laureate Conductor John Williams is also interviewed about the Tanglewood Music Center conducting program, whose luminary graduates include Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, and Leoanrd Bernstein.
