series description

IN THE AMERICAS WITH DAVID YETMAN showcases the landscapes, peoples and history of North and South America — from the frozen landscape of Yellowstone National Park in winter to the active volcanoes of Southern Chile. This season, host David Yetman (The Desert Speaks) visits Mayan excavation sites in Guatemala, an isolated mountain community in northern Oaxaca, colorful religious festivals on the Yucatلn peninsula, and the booming and bustling port of Panama City. Along the way, he meets natives and immigrants, islanders and mainlanders, pastoralists and city-dwellers, including the descendants of Japanese, German and Italian immigrants that settled in South America.
