Wow! This was such a great visit to some of the classic businesses that we (some lucky few) can still enjoy. It reminds me of my own barber's shop (Tom and Jake's in Lakewood). And it reminds me of so many places that I enjoyed when growing up in the 50s and 60s. I am fortunate to be a volunteer at History Colorado Center, and this program was an incentive to keep working, to preserve our historic American culture. Thanks!
CPT12 Response: Thank you for your email. We are glad you enjoyed Our Vanishing Americana.
I am old enough to remember the dime store and the soda fountain at the drug store. That program did bring back memories.
Thank you for your volunteer work helping to preserve our history.
As Bob Marley said “In this bright future, you can’t forget your past.”
All the best,
