Recent program on aging! It was excellent and I would very much appreciate a copy of this program - however would be convenient for you. Thank you for your help - contribution to follow! Dean Schrader Surrey Ridge 9755 Bay Lane Castle Rock, Colorado 80108

Thank you for your inquiry.
I checked with programming and I am afraid you have us stumped.
The McLaughlin Group’sformat is typically  political opinion and analysis of current issues and events. I was unable to find a program specifically dealing with aging. If they did have one you may be able to find it at their Library link
John McLaughlin also hosted a program called  McLaughlin’s One on One. You can search the series database here, but Colorado Public Television has not aired One on One recently.
Could you be thinking of Charlie Rose’s The Brain series?
There is an episode on the Aging Brain. Please clickhere for information on that program.
For a list of recently aired  programs concerning aging  please click here.
You can contact the McLaughlin Group directly for more information at comments@mclaughlin.com.
I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

The McLaughlin Report's Eleanor Clift
Posted: October 12, 2012 by Name Withheld
Program: Mclaughlin Group
I endorse the comments that were posted July 24th 2012 regarding Eleanor Clift. Eleanor is constantly asserting her opinions on top of other journalists comments and for reasons I can't understand, she is habitually campaigning for Barrack Obama..(I question how really well informed she is as a citizen of this Country, let alone as a journalist.) (You would think she is somehow receiving some back in compensation.) She is the only journalist on your program who, I feel, is PERSONALLY campaigning during a broadcast news program that is supposedly held to responsible journalistic principles.
CPT12 Response:
 Thank you for email.
I am sorry you find Ms. Clift so irritating but you may be confusing journalism with opinion and analysis.
The McLaughlin Report’s website policy page states in part:

“The McLaughlin Group television program is unscripted and unrehearsed. It is "live-to-tape" meaning that when the cameras start rolling they do not stop until the end of the show. The guests are invited to express their opinions and analysis. We believe that panelists with different positions across the political spectrum create insightful debate.”

Ms. Clift does have an extensive background in politics and policy and has been a panelist on The McLaughlin Group for as long as I can remember. Yes, her views do tend to track with the Democratic Party, as Pat Buchannan tends to track Republican.  As stated in the TMG policy, the goal is to present different positions across the political spectrum.
To see all The McLaughlin Group members’ bio  please click here.
You can contact the producers of The McLaughlin Group directly with you concerns about Ms. Clift by emailing comments@mclaughlin.com.
Thanks for watching Colorado Public Television. We do value your feedback.

program Aug. 26, 2012 Mexico
Posted: August 26, 2012 by Name Withheld
Program: Mclaughlin Group
People who don't live in Texas don't know the 1st thing about what goes on with illegal immigration. Pat is correct when he said a large group of them think that Texas was taken illegally (never mind wars and treaties, etc) and that gives them the right to ooze into Texas. Most are good citizens. San Antonio has a large Mexican population that is mostly great. But the drug cartels are HERE---murders on a regular basis. The latest is that the cartels are moving into Texas into legitimate business. The FBI in San Antonio has been moving on this issue. A national tv show talked about Mexican corruption, and one sheriff who spoke with his face and voice obscured said you will NEVER get rid of corruption in Mexico until you get rid of the payoff. It's a way of life from the top to the bottom. Ms. Clift does NOT know everything. I suggest she come live in Texas for 5 years, then talk about it. In California the Mex. students in one high school wanted to fly the Mexican flag instead of the American flag. There is a militant group in the country plus Catholic sanctuary churches---they don't just hide Mexicans----they also hide illegals from Africa. I don't object to anyone who is trying to find a better life, but follow the laws and do it LEGALLY. Thank you.
