I recently changed from Comcast to DirecTV to receive a sports package only carried on DirecTV. In doing so we discovered that on Channel 12 or 12-1 (which I guess is the DirecTV equivalent of Comcast's channel 251) we are not able to get New Scandinavian Cooking nightly at 6:30. We are very upset about this because we really enjoy the program, as well as many other programs we were used to viewing. Your lineup does show that NSC is shown nightly at 6:30 pm. Why am I not able to receive that program? My family loves public television and we want to see our favorite shows again! I think everyone should be able to receive public television shows, regardless of their TV provider. Thank you for your reply.
CPT12 Response: Thank you for your inquiry and support of public media.
It is my understanding that there is a 2 tier system with Direct TV.
The basic SD tier of Direct TV only carries Colorado Public Television’s 12.1 channel on their Digital TV channel 12.
The HD tier for Direct TV carries only two of Colorado’s 3 digital channels and here is where it gets tricky.
The HD tier of Direct TV carries CPT12.1 on Direct TV Channel 12.1. The HD tier of Direct TV carries CPT12.3 Megahertz Worldview on their Direct TV Channel 12.2! They do not carry the real CPT12.2! New Scandinavian Cookingairs on both CPT12.1 and the real CPT12.2. You should be able to view it when it airs on 12.1.

If you would like to view a schedule for your Direct TV 12.2, you will need to consult the schedule on our website for 12.3.
Hope this makes sense.
All the Best,
