Executive Assistant


Located in the Five Points Historic District, Colorado Public Television, Channel 12 (CPT12) is a nonprofit public television station providing important local, national and international programming that is otherwise not available in Colorado.
The station is seeking a professional, full-time, salaried Executive Assistant that will serve as a key liaison with prominent station visitors, partners and industry colleagues.  Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Assistant provides project support and administrative assistance for the station, senior management, General Manager, and Board of Directors. 

Successful candidate will have solid experience in a high-level liaison capacity with board members and key stakeholders, and in navigating the political nuances associated with the broadcast and content development industries. Successful candidate will also  possess the ability to effectively manage tasks that arise from unforeseen activities, actions, and priorities. Professional appearance and demeanor is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant will serve as Board Secretary, and will be responsible for maintaining corporate records, public file, taking Board meeting minutes, coordination of periodic federal and state filings, and management of electronic and hard files filing system.
Additional duties will include the planning and organization of executive meetings and special events. Maintains and prioritizes daily action items for personal follow up and management.


  • Minimum of 5 years of executive assistant or comparable position.
  • Expert or advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent capacity for business writing, editing and proofreading of complex documents.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing preferable.
  • Notary or Notary eligible is desirable.
  • Exceptional professional public relations and communication skills including strong verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities. Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
  • Broad knowledge of organization policies and practices.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and considerable judgment, tact, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Creative, independent problem solving with little or no supervision.


Salary Range:  $35,000 – 38,000, excellent benefits
