We noticed that you had a Bill Moyers show on tonight. We used to watch him on PBS and are very glad we tuned him in again. We had heard comments about this same show when it aired last week in Sacramento. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! If you are going to carry him every Wednesday, we'll be sure to tune in. When will Up from the Bottoms air?

I love most of the International Mysteries. Especially Montalbano and Brunetti (I am particularly amused by watching a show set in Italy spoken in German and subtitled in English. Crazy.) I get broadcast TV with a converter to my old analog TV, so I'm getting 12.3. but, when I am at my kids' house I can't find a 12.3. They have DirectTV. Do you have any idea if Direct TV carries mhz Worldview and, if it does, do you know what channel it would be? Thanks

Just when we need him the most, Bill Moyers has returned to offer in-depth interviews and insight without the spin and raised voices to which we have become accustomed. By watching "Moyers and Company" and "Charlie Rose" we might just be able to survive 2012! Thanks, Channel 12, for carrying this new show.

Will Secrets of the Manor House be shown on Comcast Cable. I found one location that said it would be on 2/2/2012 at 7:00 p.m. but when I went to your schedule I could not find it. Thank you

I've just been watching Gary Null going on at enormous length with his wacky and scientifically unsupported nostrums about mental health. This man's quackery is akin to some unqualified sawbones in the Wild West. It is astonishing and dismaying that an allegedly intellectually respectable channel like CPT would allow anyone like Null near the airwaves where he can influence vulnerable people. I just saw Null describing some woman who had Alzheimer's Disease and he was giggling when he described how she was stooped and with drool falling from her mouth. He was giggling! His co-host had to dig him in the ribs with her elbow to jolt him back to propriety. What is this jerk doing giving emotional advice on the airwaves? Why is CPT promoting him and his dreadful pseudoscientific books? Then at the end, we see the program is "Copyright Gary Null and Associates" — this was supposed to be a CPT fundraiser, but it looks more like a two-hour Gary Null commercial. This is outrageous and irresponsible programming.

I was disappointed to see some acts that we have seen several times before . Although talented hearing the same old stuff over and over is getting a bit tired . On the other hand a guy like Gary Lewis who we rarely get to hear from did one quick song and out . I guess its quality and not quantity we are all looking for . I enjoy pbs and i hope they take the criticism constructively

I really enjoy all of the Scandavian mysteries now playing(and Brunetti), including this very unusual "historic" version. IN addition to the stories, the sense of place and a different but not alien culture is extraordinary. I just wish you would replay them because one cannot always watch TV at 7 each night. Congratulations to you for your unique and interesting programming.

The Denver East High School Theatre Company is proud to present WORKING, a topical musical based on Studs Terkel's book of the same name. Hello, In your ACL page it says the Arcade Fire show will air today, but it's not in your program schedule. Could you please confirm when and at what time this program will be aired?

I sent another msg. over to your tech. side there @ CPT. Anyways, stating I get miffed when on the cable guide they show other titles other than what is on/showing. I am a big Frontline follower & they had "Natural Heroes" and something else before that instead of what was really on. It can't be that hard for them to get it right, they need a wake-up call big time cause this is not the FIRST TIME it has happened. I wanted to let you know so you can call them out on their obvious prob. & if they hear it from you and their customers maybe something will finally be done about it. I mean when you watch t.v. don't you want to know what you are watching when you land on that channel? If you ask me it is a big disservice too, not only that affects me but you also @ KBDI(CPT)! It has been an ecology show for a few weeks. Either the schedule is not being updated or the video for the show was swapped out.

This is an amazing film and I wanted to thank you for airing it. We would love to see it again with some of our neighbors (all 4 mile refugees). Do you have plans to air it agian? Thank you, Teresa

Just letting you know that the Van Veeteren series and The Octopus Series are the best in my opinion. the Scandanaavian series with the lovely blood woman is not to my likely. All though this detective is lovely and entirely humane, there are too many gruesome and gory scenes. As a clinical psychologist, I should warn you that such graphic footage can induce secondary post traumatic stress in the viewer. The images tend to repeat themselves in a persons mind involuntarily after the movie is complete. An aware person who does meditation, or is otherwise self observant, will notice this, while a less aware person may become more irritable, sleep more poorly, etc. without knowing why. As interesting and as well done as the show is, I have decided NOT TO WATCH IT. It does have really have the same degree of relevance to current day social issues or the moral content that the other mystery series I mentioned do have. And neither of those is as graphically violent with bizarre killings. This more brutal program does highlight the relationship between crime and mental illness, but also instills unnecessary stress. I will also not be watching the Weds. night series. With the Octopus series as long as it is, I'm sure there are many viewers like myself who would love to see the episodes that they have missed. I woulld like to see this continue from the beginning which you have started this year. I appreciated this as I'd never seen the older episodes and would like this to continue. I am very upset that Comcast has removed Channel 12 as part of their basic customer package effective on my TV - January 10,2012. Was the station aware that Comcast was dropping you from basic cable in their new digital package? As a loyal viewer, what can I do to influence Comcast to reinstate you in their basic package? What are you planning to do? Channel 12 is going to loose major contributions from Boulder. How did Comcast make this decison to replace you on Ch. 12? Were you advised in advance? Please advise what can your viewers do and post your "removal" on your home page.

As a regular viewer, I have noticed something about the music you are sometimes using for the Coming Up slides announcing the next show. Several times a week I hear you use two songs from the Heartless Bastards album "All This Time". These songs are "Into the Open" and "All this Time"... both written and performed by Erika Wennerstrom of the Heartless Bastards. Sometimes the music is accredited wrongly to Rogers... but usually there are no credits listed at all. I've heard the music used on 12.1 and 12.2. How do I know this? I'm a big Heartless Bastards fan. I love hearing Erika's music used for this purpose. But I'd like to see that she is properly credited. I presume that someone at the station is a Heartless Bastards fan and made the original selection. I'm also presuming you have rights to use it or it is under some fair use right. If not, contact her and she might be quite happy to grant the rights. So do Erika and the Heartless Bastards a favor and properly credit them for the music. Thanks

Of course, it was because I could look forward to the mysteries of Montalbano, Maigret, Van Veteren, etc. I can't even remeber the station that carried the series in our area, but, I do know that they're not on anymore. I can't begin to express how much I miss them! If possible, could you let me know if there is a station in my area that carries the various series? My wife and I live in Fort Collins and we frequently enjoy watching PBS TV. However, twice in the past several weeks we gave up watching PBS Sunday evening programming, each around 10:00 pm, because of obvious broadcast problems. Although there were differences, both involved a fairly rapidly repeating image in the middle of a program with no progression. I tried calling a PBS phone number found on Google (720-234-9933), but no one answered. Don't you have some responsible person on duty to monitor and correct such problems when they occur?

Are you going to run it any longer. I think it has been about 4 weeks since you ran in lieu of perhaps Suzie Orms or that brain food guy or the gaunt diet guy that hangs with the good looking chick in your studio. Why don't they just put it on Create? I guess I can watch it online.

Why aren't you showing the program listed in your CPT12 weekly listing, or at least state the change when it is supposed to come on? I've been waiting all week to see this at 7 only to have a nature program on zebra fish come on instead.

It would be nice to know which episode number is airing. Every entry simply says,"Essential Pepin" with a generic description of the entire series.

Hello, I am moving to your location from Raleigh, NC. I have been watching EastEnders for quite some time. When I was looking to see if your station carried the program I found something on the internet from 2009 and seemed to say you carried the program. http://www.wnceastenders.com/?p=1528 However when I went looking on your page it did not seem that you did. Am I correct in this that you no longer are showing the program EastEnders? If so do you plan on returning it to your programing at all in the future? The panel, especially Bruce McAndless, were outstanding, and your childish delight at their achievements mirrored my own. We whose lives resemble those of the "barnyard ducks" Antoine St. Exupery mocked with the metaphor of "wild geese" (representing aviators) soaring high above the muck of daily life, in "Wind, Sand and Stars", do well to remind ourselves that mankind's greatest work lies not only in caring for the weak and the downtrodden, but also in striving to fly ever "higher, faster, and farther", because we cease having any worth as a civilization once we cease.

What on earth is wrong with you people? Last week you usurped Journal (DW from Berlin) with the most inane of programs, Democracy Now. Today (12/21/11), you're showing the same Journal you showed last night. What do you take your viewers for? We are not sheep who blindly follow whatever is on the tube! I see CPT-12 is providing more public (be damned) service messages during fundraising. No wonder the PBS ombudsman has written that CPT-12 has a reputation for...(paraphrasing)...wacky programming. Naturopaths, like Mark Stengler, largely sell therapies and products that have been invalidated by science, i.e. they are a waste of time and money, and risky. A prime example is Stengler's fondness for pushing homeopathy, which is nothing more than prescribing expensive sugar pills with the suggestion that you feel better. It would be just as effective to sacrifice a goat to the Flu God. But these sugar pill nostrums, along with discounting the vitally important role of flu vaccine, are the cornerstone of Stengler's protocol for avoiding the flu. Gary Null, as usual, is amazing! What I found most helpful is that he and the experts present facts and the results of scientific studies - and not baseless opinions. As a holistically-oriented psychotherapist who treats people with depression, I learned information and approaches that I can pass on to my clients so they can heal themselves of their depression and anxiety much more quickly. I learned at least as much about depression and how to treat it from Gary Null, et al in this broadcast as I did in the four years of graduate school for my doctorate in clinical psychology! I didn't agree with everything that was said based upon my 30+ years of practice as a therapist, but even the information I didn't agree with was valuable because it was food for thought for me (healthy food!). I just had the strangest conversation with one of our fund raisers. She wanted a donation, of course, and I told her that my husband is the one that handles that and that he has been donating for years and just some him the form and he'll send a check. She said she has to talk to him before she can send him anything. I told her we are leaving the country on friday and she just send information. She said, and I quote, "I can't do that so I'll put you down as a no." That's ridiculous. My husband, Bob Hofmann, has been conributing for about 20 years. If you don't want his money this year, fine, we'll donate somewhere else.

I agree with some of the above viewers, that Colorado Inside Out is going downhill. It's leaning much more to the right, and too many of the comments sound like the worthless drabble of people out of touch with so many of us. Lately, I've just been turning off the TV in the middle of the show. I might suggest getting a different host, one with less bias, for starters. As for Occupy Denver, I think it should continue until people such as your commentators get the point, which many of them seem not to have done yet!

The programming on CPT 12 on today's date - excepting the Foreigner concert - more adequately resembles back-to-back infomercials. If the programming department actually PAYS for the right to run Suze Ormand and the rest of today's programming, management needs to seriously re-evaluate the talent within the programming department. I cannot bear to watch what's on today therefore I surely cannot donate to support it. Leave the health lectures, the money lectures and the infomercials to commercial television and concentrate on quality program such as Ken Burns, prime concert series, and programs of an international interest please. On Dec. 2, I decided to watch a full episode of Colorado Inside Out. I was dismayed by the lack of diversity on the panel and the perspectives offered. The panel included two men, an ultra conservative and a conservative, along with two politically middle of the road women. This first became apparent with the narrow spectrum of opinions expressed on the Occupy movement and its Denver participants. But the lack of a progressive perspective became most apparent during the "weekly outrage" segment, which Dave Kopel used to rant about Barnie Frank's retirement. Actually, he merely used the event of Frank's retirement during the week to air some delusional rant about Frank's responsibility for the housing/financial collapse. While I'm guessing you have some rule about personal responses among the panelists, the fact that no one challenged Kopel's own ad hominen screed or at least checked his Kool-Aid, was a major journalistic lapse and common complaint against mainstream political coverage. I appreciate the intent of the show to cover local/regional issues, and watch cpt12 regularly. Thank you for your time.

(I wrote to you last year also, got reply from Larry Patchett) This year's two-hours of the CIO time machine, four episodes, was an absolute orgy - I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! The participants are all just genius, as is the wonderful scripting (-if it indeed is scripted vs. spontaneous - some of both?) - they all displayed extensive knowledge of Colorado and Denver history, especially the subtler aspects of same. The satire was so clever, really pure genius, with all the double-entendres - I just loved every minute of each episode. Please thank all of them: Patty, Raj, Peter, Kevin, Dannie, Ed and all others who I'm not naming - absolutely brilliant, all of them! On last nights show, the subject turned to the Solar Industry and how China is making a play to dominate the world market. Right on cue, one of the pompous conservatives (not important which one, they all say the same vacuous talking points) stated that we 'don't want our government picking winners and losers" and that free market "investment capital" should be used to develop our Solar Industry. This conservative, as he straddled his 'high horse', was making a massive oversight (which conservatives consistently rely on for their existence). The oversight was that China is a central government and they do pick winners and losers and they are absolutely dominating the United States in the Solar Industry! Throughout the history of our great country, we, the people, through our tax dollars, have subsidized and invested in the large emerging infrastructure industries in order to get them started; but according to conservatives (ie. representatives of the fossil fuel industry), we should not do this for the Solar Industry.

I have been a viewer of Colorado Inside Out for many years. How I miss the balance provided when you include members such as Dani Newsome and Mike Littwin, who provide the much needed voice for the MANY residents of Colorado who aren't to the RIGHT of center, but are to the LEFT of center. Your panel's bias to the right exhibits itself regularly, but hit new lows with the recent comments regarding OWS and Michael Moore. There are MANY in Colorado who are progressive - where is that representation on your show? Without fair time given to the moderate left you create the need for more radical action just to get the ideas heard. Why don't you help us all and include moderate left viewpoints on your show? Regardless of how much money he makes, Michael Moore has assisted in getting the important issues raised by those on the left to be discussed. He is not the "1%" exploiting the 99%. The attempt to marginalize him based on his income was ignorant - and shows what distortions arise when you don't provide for a balanced discussion on your panel! PLEASE make an effort to provide a panel that more fairly represents view on both sides of the issues.

Your website still states that I should be able to get Digital Channels 12-1 to 3 in north Boulder in late 2010. It is now late 2011 and I still can't get Channel 12 over the air. I've tried getting the old analog on Ch. 11 -- no go. I've run the reprogram multiple times on D-tv tuner, and can't get you. Please get your act together -- I'm going to drop Comcast and really want to pick up your channel. I can't give you a dime until I can actually get your channel on air. Joe

Criticism of public television's paucity of high-culture fare is disingenuous without any corresponding analysis of the tiny amount of federal, state and private funding for the institution and the policy constraints put on it. I formerly watched The News Hour when we lived in the greater Washington, DC area. During the financial meltdown, Mr. Lehrer was fairly clueless about who were experts to bring on The News Hour to discuss the issues and who were living in the past like Mr. Lehrer. Recently, I watched Ms. Woodruff report on Greece. I subscribe to Stratfor and as a consequence, I continue to find The News Hour reporting lacking in context and knowledge of recent Greek policies, and the economics of the Greek economy. Upon joining the European Union, the Greek people did not prepare themselves to compete with the highly efficient German economy by revamping their educational system, removing onerous regulations, freeing up the labor market, downsizing the government workforce, etc. These are policies that other highly successful economies adopted. Instead, the Greek populace sought and obtained more social programs fuded by government debt and the Greek government went to extraordinary lengths to cheat on their European Union obligations by hiding the fact that their debts were not below treaty limits. I watched the discussion of the Republican debates. I stopped taking The Washington Post after watching the extraordinary contortions it went to refrain from printing information critical of President Obama. Also, it was fairly easy to pick apart the alleged fact checking performed by the likes of Mr. Kesssler. So you had a leftist editor and a leftist fact checker to discuss the Republican debates. PBS would receive more respect had PBS balanced out its left fact checker with Brent Bozell. Mr. Bozell has analyzed and pointed out that Anderson Cooper, the CNN moderator, is definitely biased by reporting facts unfavorable to Republicans in much greater proportion but refusing, in many case, to report on facts unfavorable to Democrats. Unfortunately, I see PBS, like The Washington Post as going through contortions to avoid reporting on items troubling to Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, and President Obama. It would take around $349 to subscribe to Stratfor. Mr. Rowland could use Stratfor’s reporting to complain to PBS about the deficiencies in The News Hour reporting? Such actions would have little cost for the Colorado Public Television but would provide enormous dividends in public respect for neutrality and impartiality! If Mr. Rowland is too cheap to spend his own money on a subscription to Stratfor, then I would be happy to donate that sum. What is that hard about improving the content of The News Hour? When we lived in Richmond, Virginia, we saw great cultural events at the University of Richmond. Why can’t Mr. Rowland arrange with the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to show their cultural offerings on Colorado PBS? As noted in the City Journal, the recent documentary on the War of 1812 was a very poor effort guided by political correctness. http://www.city-journal.org/2011/bc1007rc.html Apparently, the whole effort was to discredit the Americans. What I find astonishing is that the review did not mention the Battle of Chippewa and Lundy's Lane which is reported in Impossible Victories: Ten Unlikely Battlefied Successes. Furhter, we should note in the Battle of New Orleans Andrew Jackson and Americans defeated a British Army with five years of success against Napolean's Armies. Further, Stratfor described the American response which was Manifest Destiny to make us invulnerable from attack on the continent. Thus, I would suggest that the local PBS stations should be challenge the quality of PBS programming and demand improvements. Regards, Richard Allen

Here is another opinion about Gary Null and his dubious education: "Does Gary Null Have a Real Ph.D.? Lee Phillips — May 1, 2008 A Meaningless Credential This question comes up often. In fact, Null and friends are threatening to sue me1 in part because I said that his degree is “bogus,2 ” and other things about his credentials that seem to have hurt his feelings. Gary Null is often in the position of defending his credentials on the air, particularly his doctorate. When doing so he sometimes talks about how hard he worked to get that Ph.D. from Union Institute and University, and that he is proud of it. He likes to get his audience on his side using this type of emotional appeal. These things might very well be true, but are not material. During his long, Castro-like speech that he used to fill the airtime during my recent appearance on his show on April 29th, he further defended the significance of this Ph.D. by reading some fluff generated by the school that awarded it, to the effect that they think the degrees are meaningful and that they are proud of their alumni. Also, I think they gave an award to Mr. Null. It might not be surprising that a school that awards degrees, bogus or not, would be of the opinion that they mean something. I would certainly be surprised to hear a Union Institute dean say that, sure, we hand out Ph.D.s like candy but they're not worth anything. So this is nice, but also not material. Mr. Null does finally get around to uttering a material fact in support of the idea that this degree actually means something: the school that awarded it to him is accredited. This is true, but misleading in this context, because of the details of that accreditation. Union Institute is in Ohio and its accreditation is handled by the Higher Learning Commission, an arm of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which is the body that accredits all schools in the region. You can go to the web site of the Higher Learning Commission and look up the page that describes the accreditation of Union Institute, where you will find that3 The Institute may add no new centers or degree programs beyond the Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, the Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology), and the Ed.D. (Doctor of Education) without the Commission’s approval. The Ph.D. program in Interdisciplinary Studies is limited to the social sciences and humanities research areas. So it would seem that their granting of a Ph.D. in the health sciences, or any kind of science other than social science, is outside the realm of their accreditation, and was in 1989, when Null got his degree. This is as if a high school in Ohio, which is accredited by the same umbrella organization, decided to give someone a Ph.D. in physics in return for a fee. Yes, they are an accredited school, but their accreditation does not include the granting of Ph.D.s in physics, so the degree is bogus. This fact about the status of degrees handed out by Union Institute in health science areas has been pointed out in several places on the web, and not been challenged by Mr. Null as far as I know. The Gary Null entry in Wikipedia4 points out that “This school is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools but its accreditation does not cover awarding of PhDs in the sciences, only in the humanities.”An article by Dr. Peter A. Lipson,5 who has written widely on quackery, mentions that “A reader asked if Null really has a Ph.D. as he claims. The answer is ‘yes’—and ‘no’. Apparently, he was awarded a Ph.D. in a scientific field by a University that is accredited only to award Ph.D.s in the humanities.” Gary Null is in good company. Union Institute has granted more than one of these bogus nutrition science degrees over the years. If you are scientifically illiterate but want to be called “Doctor” to make it easier to sell your “natural” health products or services to a gullible public, it looks like Gary Null's alma mater will accommodate you. For example, Annemarie Colbin got a Ph.D. from Union in 2002 with a thesis entitled “Wholistic Nutrition: From Biochemisty to Chaos, Complexity, and Quantum Physics - applying some concepts from contemporary science to a new understanding of how food affects health.” She summarizes her “research” on her web page,6 which is actually entitled “About Annemarie Colbin, Ph.D. - Food and Healing, Ph.D.,” with two Ph.D.s right there in the title, so you know you can trust her. She clings to her Union Institute degree as proudly and tightly as Mr. Null; nowhere on her page is her name allowed to lie unadorned either by the Dr. in front or the Ph.D. behind. But read her description of her thesis work. Any scientifically literate person can see that she has an utterly garbled understanding of several fields of research that she claims to have incorporated into her theory of nutrition. There is practically zero chance of her dissertation making any sense. In addition to all this, the famous deconstructor of quacks, Dr. Stephen Barrett, has taken the trouble to actually read Mr. Null's Ph.D. thesis, and concludes7 that “Traditional universities require that research for a doctoral degree in a scientific discipline make a genuine contribution to the scientific literature. Null's thesis made no such contribution.” He also discovered several problems with the makeup of the thesis committee, and points out that Union Institute has no serious coursework requirements. Given all of the above, I am confident that there is nothing libelous in how I have characterized Gary Null's Ph.D.: it is indeed bogus, and he in fact has not earned the credential, in the sense that that would be understood by bona fide members of the academic community. Other Credentials Mr. Null has a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school and is licensed8 by New York State as a registered dietician/nutritionist. In his rather desperate and peevish on-air rant during my appearance, and at other times, he has referred to this license with a formulation something like “I’m a licensed dietician/nutritionist—I'm BOARD CERTIFIED,” repeating the “board certified” part now and then. Board certification is a credential earned by doctors that means they are qualified in a particular medical specialty. Gary Null is not a doctor and, needless to say, is not “board certified” in anything. I don't know whether he’s confused or is trying to create the impression, in his listeners’ minds, that he is a medical doctor, but either way, it should stop, especially since he shows no restraint in offering medical and even veterinary advice over the air for the treatment of specific diseases and conditions. The requirements9 for New York's dietician license are a bachelor's degree in a program in dietetics-nutrition or the “equivalent,” and six months of related work experience, which can be part of the degree program, and the passage of a multiple-choice examination. Another track is to have an associate's degree and more work experience. The examination is wide-ranging, covering topics as diverse as the design of facilities, the interviewing of patients, and the nutritional content of foods. Neither the agency nor the applicable statute define what is to be considered a passing grade, however. Licensed nutritionists are permitted to do things such as interview an overweight person about his diet and recommend changes in his eating habits. They need not have any formal education beyond a two-year degree. This is a low-level vocational license granted by the Department of Education; dieticians are not health professionals in the sense that doctors, RNs, or physician assistants are. Having a dietician’s license does not confer any special credibility in discussions of current biomedical research. If a dietician tried to treat a cancer patient with a coffee enema, as Gary Null recommends,10 he would likely be prosecuted for, at the least, practicing medicine without a license. Why Does it Matter? Arguing about the significance of people's degrees and credentials is distasteful and rarely relevant to anything. A credential does not mean that you are right in any dispute; only your evidence and your argument itself can be convincing to a rational person. Gary Null often reminds us that he is a “scientist”. The real scientists that I know don't usually bother to decorate their names with their degrees, except in certain formal circumstances. But there is an obvious reason why “Dr.” and “Ph.D.” cling so desperately to Gary Null's name everywhere on his website and everything else that he produces. The purpose of his website is to sell pills and tracts to the people who wind up there in a search for help for a medical condition, or to maintain a good state of health. Naturally, it is very important to his business to create an impression of credibility. Potential customers who arrive with sufficient gullibility may have any doubts assuaged when they see the degree; may even, perhaps not consciously, feel they are under the benevolent guidance of some kind of health professional, or even an actual doctor. A good part of the income of Gary Null & Associates can be presumed to depend upon this kind of credulity. I summarized this state of affairs in my letter to WPFW,2 where I said that Mr. Null uses his broadcast as an infomercial to steer people to his commercial website. Mr. Null admitted as much in his long speech in answer to my brief remarks on his show, although I'm guessing he doesn't realize it. He pointed out that WPFW does not pay him for his radio show, and that by attacking his credentials and trying to get him “kicked off the air” I was putting his livelihood at risk. So he admits that his livelihood depends on his continued ability to broadcast, even though he is not paid for the broadcast. Therefore the broadcast must be directly connected with something else

The following is an excerpt from an article about Gary Null. (This was taken from Wikipedia concerning Mr. Null.) I am of the opinion that Mr.Null is not qualified to give advise on PBS. "Null has made several self-funded and self-published documentary films on public policy issues, personal health, and personal development. Null's videos have been aired by PBS during pledge drives, but concern arose within PBS over the videos' sensational claims. Ervin Duggan, the president of PBS, expressed concern that by showing Null's videos, the network was "open[ing] the door to quacks and charlatans."[14] Null implied that his problems with PBS may have been an attempt to silence him, saying: "The guardians of the gates of orthodoxy at PBS... you don't know who their friends are."[8]"

The homeless shelter is very seldom empty and to ticket or arrest those who are vulnerable reminds me of the movies of the depression when those homeless set up camps & the police came and beat or killed them because they didn't have a good down-payment for a home or any relatives who could afford to care for them. This issue of making it illegal to sleep on 16th St. came with the Occupy movement. To have well off professional people on Colorado Inside Out suggest that it could be a good idea to arrest people for sleeping on the 16th St. Mall, shows the difference in the in ideas between the classes and between those who have conscious about killing innocent people, or even guilty ones without evidence and trials because some of the people spending the nights out might have husbands, wives or parents that will support them, but it is expensive to ride the bus back into town from the suburbs to let the politicians know they are against so many violent killings, human rights abuses, and the loss of civil and economic liberties that it is hard to list. Not only the occupy letting politicians know, but they are educating the public because the private monopolized press doesn't tell them very much or they haven't realized how important it is to watch Linktv with Democracynow.org, or get news on the websites like Alternet, Truthout, Prisom, and a few others. When I was on the street I asked pedestrians & even a channel 9 news reader, who said, "yea I don't think that torture is good" but seemed to have no other ideas of doing anything in his country, nor did he want to know facts. Here are a few of the names: Pvt. Bradley Manning, S. Hessler, U.K. Shaker Aamer, U.S. Jose Pedia, Mother, Cindy Sheehan, Canadian Maher Amar, Andy Worthington, Tyler Mozzem Beggs, and of course Wikileaks that reported president Obama with the acceptance of the Yemen leader, purposefully killed 100 civilian men, women, & children and blamed it on al Qaeda, Michael Taylor, Monsanto with GMO's, PCB's in Anniston, Alabama, Agent Orange, Nevada Nuclear Test Site in & Native Sacred lands, Roy Bourgeois, The School of Americas in Georgia, U.S. supported General Augusto Pinochet, & General Dostum. Thich Nhat Hanh put himself in danger in order to safe the homeless victims from the Vietnam War, and here in this comfortable world of the U.S. people have trouble with walking past a homeless person? Here are some sayings I think are also worth noting, we need rebels because they call either for justice or to see if one is brave enough to depart from the pack to analyze the situation, you need Revolutionaries to propose new and more just ways of living. Desmond Tutu said the worst part of the African apartheid was that people were so violently separated from each other that both sides began to question if they were children of God. We need to be educated about each other as Americans. We need to know and care for the poor and the rich. We need also to be educated and see as many documentaries as we see fictional Hollywood movies or Status-Quo incomplete news.

Cindy Sheehan is one of the people who has been arrested at the Occupy. I think many of us across the country stand behind her words. Is she one of those people Mr.Koppel feels is violent? Though the attitude of Mr. Koppel is usually arrogant, his statement about the Occupy was extremely arrogant. I have copied and pasted Cindy Sheehan's words below. It was with greater sorrow and fear that my family watched one of our indispensable members, Casey, march off to one of those immoral occupations in Iraq. Our lives were shattered when he came home in a cardboard box, shortly after he was killed there on April 04, 2004. We picked Casey's body up from the airport in San Francisco for the final time at a United Airlines loading dock, where his cardboard box was unceremoniously loaded into the hearse for his last ride home.(And the longest ride of my life). Andy Sheehan kisses the coffin of his brother Along with the rest of our family, Casey was opposed to these wars of aggression and before he left for Iraq, Casey, a Humvee mechanic, told everyone that he wouldn’t be able to “kill anyone.” Well, one president, thousands of American deaths, over a million Iraqi deaths, and almost nine years later, Barack Obama has announced that all US troops would be leaving Iraq by the end of this year. I'd like to remind everyone that Barack Obama stated that ending the war in Iraq would be the "first thing" he did as President--and we could even "take it to the bank," (probably one of the failed ones) and that this withdrawal is something Bush-Maliki scheduled back at the end of 2008. I would like to send my deepest apologies to the Injured Iraqi Girls--our children, too! people of Iraq for what my country has done there, but also my congratulations (no matter how reserved) because this is something that the people of Iraq have been fighting for and I am happy for them that US troops finally will be vacating their country. However, did Obama just forget about the heavily fortified 104 acre US Embassy in Baghdad that employs 3000, or the enormous US consulates in Basra and Erbil, that will eventually employ about another 3000 people--or the thousands of paid mercenaries that will remain after the end of this year? I didn’t hear Obama talk about the destruction of infrastructure and lives for the people of Iraq—or the high increases in cancer rates and birth defects from the usage of depleted uranium coated munitions. The two most important things, though, that I did not hear Obama say are these: prosecuting members of the Bush regime for the hundreds of lies it told about Iraq, and paying reparations to the people of Iraq. I can only hope that when US troops do pull out that the US puppet government pulls out of there, too, and the people of Iraq can finally and completely have their country back and with full and unfettered access to the natural resources that belong to the people. Unfortunately, with thousands of Americans, mercenary troops and foreign oil companies, I don’t think the struggle is over. Also, which war will Obama send these troops that are leaving Iraq to? Pakistan? Afghanistan? Uganda? Iran? Or somewhere else that we can only imagine? These wars have cost my family dearly and have sucked at least three trillion dollars out of our economy. We will never get Casey back and no amount of death/destruction will make his “sacrifice” “worth it”—the only thing that could bring comfort to our family now is accountability and an end to war as the first go-to tool in the box of US foreign policy. RIP, Casey Austin Sheehan and so many others who are dead for absolutely no reason other than profit for the few.

That is the basic question I have posed to the Mississippi Attorney General in the letter that is being published in Mississippi this Sunday, October 23. Personhood USA, Personhood Mississippi, The American Family Association, American Family Radio and others are conducting an aggressive campaign in the most religious state in the union and misleading them greatly to accomplish a yes vote. On the ballot is a one line question that will change our state constitution. "Should the term “person” be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the equivalent thereof?" Seems simple but it is not. Most people have no idea what the consequences will be and the warnings from the medical community are being ignored because the religious groups are telling the public that it is just scare tactics and continue promoting their own agenda by providing false and misleading information. Mississippi has third world medicine and third world infant death rates in parts of the state and if implemented we would see hundreds if not thousands of doctors flee the state. It has flown under the radar until recently, I found out three weeks ago what the exact wording was and hit the roof. I saw a poll of 4000 voters that had an approval rating of 75% and the remainder split between no and not decided. I borrowed $10,000 and started almost immediately with my one man no-on-26 campaign. I have paid for over 600,000 quarter page adds across the state attempting to educate the public. The women in the advertising departments and those who have been placing the ads have been great, after the deals and discounts I have been given I am still less than 2 cents per printed quarter page add. I am not sure what my success rate has been but if it passes it will be against my best efforts. I am out of cash and running out of time. This letter to he Attorney General is my Hail Mary Pass other than attempting to get media coverage and person to person contact. My goal this weekend is to contact 500 television stations, started with Mississippi and figured Colorado should be next because you have dealt with these types of folks already. Media coverage and pressure on our Attorney General would be a god send. If by chance you get two of these I apologize. Forward to whomever you please.

Once again Channel 12 has supported this wonderful group, Celtic Thunder. I was at the concert tonight and support your station by buying a ticket so I can go to the meet and greet. Again this year you did an amazing job and the concert was fantastic. The venue was so good this year and the house was packed. I am starting to make friends that I see only at the concerts and it is great fun. A bunch was at the concert last year and they were back this year. Please keep up the great work and thanks again for supporting Celtic Thunder here of our entertainment and enjoyment. It is the highlight of the concerts I attend. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching DW news for the past several years and am extremely disappointed you've changed the time from 5:30 PM to 3:30 PM on you 12.3 channel. Now you've crammed in Aljazeera news and I've no interest at all in it at all. I can still watch DW at 6:30 on 12.1 but that is not as convenient. You probably can't change it back but I had to voice my opinion.

The accusations made on the program Colorado Inside Out said that the protesters had a hodge podge of issues. This was discussed in a very negative attitude, when it is a positive point. A retired teacher and I who are teachers, and one of us formally worked for Polis stated shared with each other about how very many, many things were wrong and not being cared about by the leaders of Colorado and U.S. There was a statement about how Polis is mostly concerned with himself and that the many issues that have not been covered by the status-quo TV media, but have been seen on Channel 12's Democracynow.org and Boulder's radio station KBGN and conveyed to politicians through calls, town hall meetings, petitions, emails, and group meetings. Yet they vote opposite what the public is telling them. I have written about some of these in comments on the Denver Post. The next accusation is about obeying the laws. Below you will find those who have not obeyed the laws have grown more powerful. Actually it was not right to arrest the Occupiers after 6:00 in the morning if they weren't in the tents, nor should they have been kept off the Lincoln park grounds during day time hours. As David says we should all have access to the public park, that many of us in the Occupy Denver who are either retired, working or have parents that pay our tuition are paying the taxes for today. Now they will also be paying for a multitude of police, a truck destroying the lawn, and they directed us onto the street in front of the capital instead of asking us to return to the sidewalk and therefore had to have additional traffic controllers. It was also not legal to remove the food donated we had on the sidewalk during the middle hours on the sidewalk. Of course there this will probably not cause the Occupiers to have no food since there are middle aged women to children who are bringing burritos and water to pass out. Also David, not everything is about supporting a Republican or Democrat, since they are both in a monopolized consensus to support the corruption and corporations over the public as seen in my writing below. I hope people vote a write in, independent or Green Party for president, since both the Republican and Democratic politicians have shown that they are for violence, abuse of human & civil rights and the continued protection and profits of corrupt corporations, and that doesn't mean all businesses. It is interesting that those poloticians that are elected to represent the good of the people are not doing that and even steal or LOSE (Bush announces Administration lost $2 Trillion from pentagon the day before 9-11 & on 9-11 many records are destroyed) and yet they are not held accountable for their abuses and lawbreaking. Bush Admin: Allows the execution of 5,000 unarmed Iraqi prisoners & 200+ children tortured to death, has all 9-11 evidence of 9-11 destroyed before FBI says they are finished examining it, keeps uncharged U.K. men in prison & Britain is sued for their support for $Millions upon these mens release from Guantanamo & are waiting for Bush to release the last U.K. father Mr. Shaker Aamer. Bush is responsible for initiating the procedures of torture to 1,000's kidnapped, including a vacationer from JFK. Obama covers for Bush by not allowing these people, including Mr. Arar in Ct. Obama also made a deal with the Yemen leader to bomb 100 civilian men, women & children in Yemen and blame it on al Qaeda. I have heard so many, many people at town meetings and everywhere saying they did not believe the U.S. should be torturing, assassinating or invading & fighting in other countries. Yet still more and more of our money goes to the wars & the $Trillion Dollar corporations that gain profits from the wars. The oil corporations the seed corporation of Monsanto (which also will have $Trillion dollar profits by the signing of this weeks UNFAIR -Fair Trade Agreement because many of demonstrated saying NO to GMO's, but with this agreement the leaders will push it through anyway and both Colo. senators signed it. Polis didn't take a stand & say NO. So now the money for purchases, building, teaching, creating new resources for business is not in the hands of the 99% of the U.S. population. In Colo. there are 1,000's of salary freezes and cuts, not to mention the unemployment is growing all the time. What do I hear from Washington today, Obama's staffer, Clinton, says we will help supply $Milli to the Middle East and though Israel has more college graduates than the U.S. we will continue to pay them to be our hit men with funding and weapons that can wipe any other race or religion out if they don't like the apartheid gov. As a full time activists & part time Occupier of Denver, writer, meeting attender, researcher I do not believe the President or around 90% of the legislators are representing what I want, though they are working at taking ALL OF the little bit of money & resources my family have gained through the years. This concept of my politicians doing the OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEIR CONSTITUENTS TELL THEM IN BOULDER, BROOMFIELD, WESTMINSTER & DENVER THE U.S. causes me great conflict because I long to find a position as a teacher, but also know there aren't people available to remind this country that there are so many, many violent and unjust things happening, nor do I want to continue to support the abuses with my taxes and despite the accusations that this makes me violent it does not. Nor does it make other activists or teachers violent when they are trying to learn and analyze current events, as should be done even at a Jr. High 7th to 9th Grade level. Many people just don't get important information from the "Status Quo" Monopoly Corporatized Press of channels 2,4,6,7,9. When I ask people about the very issues of continuing our freedom and democracy and knowing about important people or other news most people don't know anything: Shaker Aamer, Bradley Manning, Susan Lindaur or Michael Taylor, WikiLeaks, Apache video, Wikileaks, Shebergham Afghanistan, General Dostum, Jose Padilla, Jersey Girls & many more. The U.S. should not continue it's direction to return to the Middle Ages were people could be thrown into torture chambers & forgotten because the kings didn't like them with NO defense and the societies were not as concerned with gov. and personal care and concern for others, especially for the whole concepts of the communities. I would think especially for those who have not been Tried, should there be solitaire confinement for 15 mo. to 10 year. U.S. military soldiers have endure torture without trials as a result of the U.S. presidents & their hierarchal comrades orders, including Jose Padilla, Pvt. Obama has for assassinating may also be people that could reveal more war criminality of either Bush or Obama, but the presidents make sure they are not allowed to talk before being rubbed out. The British & Canadian gov. have paid $Millions for torturing innocent people & the Spanish gov. will arrest Pres. Hi, I lived in Denver in the late 70's to early 80's. A friend of mine had a hiking accident outside of Golden Co. There was a show called "Lifeline" ?? That was aired about his rescue. The start of the episode was him arriving at (I Think Denver General) in a helicopter. Is there a way to access the footage of that? It was summer in right about 1979. I have spent a lot of searching and cant find this news program anywhere. The name of the hiker was Tim Veehill. The spot is just outside of Golden where it was a known place to hand-glide. There seemed to be 2-4 rescues at the cliffs overlooking the river every year there. The intent was to close it to hand gliding due to safety issues. Any info would help. I really enjoyed going along for the ride as I watched this video! Is this guy in the military? He seems like he has had some kind of training. Dear Ms. Osborne, Gee, I think it would be news to the Catholic Church that it produces "balanced" materials. But you are apparently excusing CPT12 for not do its homework because it took the word of a distributor that this series is balanced. Really? A 10-part series on Catholicism?! It took me less than a minute of Google time to find that the Rev. Robert Barron, the priest who produced and stars in the "Catholicism" film project, is an *evangelical Catholic.* Evangelical...as in evangelizing. From his website: "His [Barron's] global media ministry called Word On Fire has a simple but revolutionary mission - to evangelize the culture." Just the trailer for this series should have set off alarm bells at CPT12 It states: "The church is going through a dark period. The church his under fire. It's under attack. That Catholic story is being told, but told by the wrong people in the wrong way. We need to tell our own story. We need to get the message out so as to draw people in....The Catholicism Project. Become Part of the Story." Wikipedia also describes Fr. Barron as a "Catholic evangelist." It further states: "In 2000 Fr. Barron launched "Word on Fire Catholic Ministries", a non-profit organization, that supports his evangelistic endeavors." In a press release for the series we learn this series was meant for "commercial" television. Additionally it says: “Now is the time to reach out to Catholics and others who are searching for meaning in their lives or who have left the Church because they are disillusioned,” says Father Barron, a prominent theologian, author, and Archdiocesan priest of Chicago since 1986. “In each episode, our mission will be to encourage believers and bring the transformative power of the Gospel to the culture.” This "Catholicism Project" enticed investors with a brochure that claimed the series, as part of a "global media ministry," would "promote the Catholic faith" and "draw millions of people into or back to the Catholic faith..." And in an interview in *Catholic New World," Fr. Barron had this to say about his $3M film project: "The forms of contemporary media allow us to fulfill the missionary mandate of the Lord to preach the Gospel to all nations and extend to all people the invitation to share Christ’s life in his church. We can do this on a scale and with an effectiveness that has never before been possible." Well, it seems pretty clear that CPT12 is putting federal funding (don't matter how much or how little) and the donations of diverse citizens to use for the purpose of blatant Catholic missionary work. I am looking for the name of a person I saw featured on a show one night on CPT 12.1. Unfortunately, the only schedule details I remember are that it was on sometime between March & June 2011 (possibly even Feb, but I know it was before June 8) & I think it was on around 10 pm. The show was about an Asian scientist who would spend hours laying in creeks in a wetsuit watching aquatic life. I also think he was known for his drawings of what he observed, & may have written a book. My younger sister is an ecologist & I know she'd like to learn more about him. How about monitoring your signal so that audio is available - watching people silently speak does not serve any meaningful purpose - it is one thing to have a technical problem - it is however quite unprofessional to simply let it go on and on with no signal monitoring and correction

I found this program while browsing for programs. I was born and raised in Colorado between Ft. Lupton and Brighton. I reminded me of the camps in Ft. Lupton and the prejude I felt while growing up. This should be used as a teaching tool for civil rights. The General Public does not know the History behind the Southwest and how it was acquired.

Dear Channel 12 viewers, I just finished reading several of the comments from you viewers opposing Democracy Now! and their threat to pull their finding. This simple (and narrow) minded approach does nothing to honor the long-standing tradition of challenging and eclectic programing on Channel 12. I have proudly been a member of Channel 12 going back almost to its inception. I was particularly happy when Channel 12 picked up Democracy Now for broadcast. Put simply Any Goodman is a national treasure. She represents a lost tradition of good critical journalism, and she makes no bones about confronting the consolidated power in American institutions. I hope your disgruntled viewers can return to appreciating the range of views provided by Channel 12, and stop threating to “pull the plug” simply because there are views represented that they themselves disagree with.

To Whom It May Concern: I am working with a group of breeders to develop a new breed of cat by crossing two existing breeds. I would like to work with someone to put together a documentary about the process of taking the cats from the foundational breeding all the way to the kittens that exhibit the new breed standards. I like to paint and am always on the look out for shows on the subject that I have never seen. I just watched an episode of Painting with Paulson. Don't misunderstand me, I mean this in the most respectful of ways, is Mr.Paulson challenged in some way? If he is not, then I really am surprised that his show is being run on your channel. With art, as with many things, the expression, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", is certainly true and to each their own with regard to style, but this man's painting leaves an awful lot to be desired. I think your money would be much better spent on the Bob Ross series, or almost any of the other paint instructional series that have run on PBS before. Thank you, A.L. Camasso

How great is this show? Very great. It not only shows the places, it shows the president and his family representing all Mexico. They are typical Mexicans, very hospitable, open, honest, and pleasant to be around. They are afraid of nothing, rapelling, scuba diving, up close whale watching, pyramide climbing, hot ballooning, etc. Unbelievable to see a president and his family doing all these things. Hooray for them! I lived in Mexico for fifteen years, and this journey portrays the real Mexico. Thank you for filming it. I really want to have a DVD of this when it becomes available.

I have noticed you never have any programing for fine arts. WHY? There are many fine art instructional programs. I really don't want to see another Bob Ross or watercolor program. It would be so nice to feature acrylic & oil painters with new programs. Some suggestions would be Jerry Yarnell, Brenda Harris, Susan Schwee. Just naming a few. I do love the health programing & I am a vegan. I love that you expose the inhumane killing of animals & what Monsanto is doing to our farmers & their crops. The whole GMO thing is mean spirited to say nothing for killing us. Another programing idea would be Made in America with American parts or textiles. Not just about CARS either. It took me a month to find a washing machine that fit this bill. It works great & I love it. I found the washer with no problem. The problem was finding local business that had one for sale. Promoting the whole Made In America with American MADE parts & materials would be a special blessing. Usually American products don't set out to kill us or fall apart every other year. Just my thoughts.

Why do you change programs that are already scheduled and that you have even sent me a reminder about (at my request)? For example, a Donna Leon mystery was scheduled for Sunday evening at 7 p.m......one of my favorite authors. I asked for and received a reminder as it was on the schedule e-mailed earlierr during the week. At 7 p.m. last night, another unscheduled show was on. In the interest of a good local news story I thought you would like this one. Tomara Conrad, the singing barista, is going to be on the Rachael Ray show on Tues. Oct. 4th. You can see her Youtube videos as well. This is a great story of local people. She sings at the Edgewater Coffee Co., which is a great LOCAL place to go and enjoy coffee and the company of neighbors. When she appears on the show she will be wearing an apron made by me, of Bella Donna's Kitchen. I design and sew these aprons from many different fabrics. We would love some local exposure for all three of us. The Coffee CO owned and operated by Gina Hartley, the very talented Tomara Conrad and the gifted seamstress, Donna Schrader, of Bella Donna's Kitchen. Please feel free to contact me anytime. What Mindless Drivel I never would have believed that PBS would air such right wing elitist propaganda without at least making a few counter balancing arguments that demonstrate the flaws in Friedman's theories. When PBS aired his series in 1980 because his theories were relatively new and untried in the USA. There are too many shortcomings of this “Laissez Faire” combined with “Supply-side” economics model. Can anyone say “Monopoly and Oligopoly” and how about “Market Bubble”. Perhaps the most important evidence to offer which emphasizes the failure of Friedman's system would be a quote from arguably one of the most knowledgeable and ardent ex-supporters of Friedman economics, ex-Fed Chief Alan Greenspan in his testimony to Congress when he said, “WE WERE WRONG!” I really would like to know how this one sided propaganda got on the air? It defies any kind of journalistic integrity. Who made the decision and why? Does he or she have a really nice, cushy, and high paying job setup for them when they are done trashing PBS? In any case I'm sure they would get paid much better than the little trolls that post their brown nosing comments here.

My wife and I have been regular viewers of CIO for years. I have learned from members from the wide variety of guests. My concern is the panel has taken a noticeable tilt to the right. We specifically wish you could put a counter balance to Mr. Koppel. The various timid, semi-liberals lately on the panel are not a balance. Mr. Koppel makes many good comments. But too frequently he is more dogmatic than objective. That's our opinion. And, yes, we'll keep watching. Cal Neptune

We just moved here from Arizona and are sad there are so fun PBS Go shows on your station. My 2nd grader and even my three year old really enjoyed shows like the Electric Company, Wordgirl, and Ruff Roughman on a daily basis. I checked your schedule and see only some of these shows are shown on the weekends. So I love the station and the programming !! But- a 6-8 wk wait to purchase Gary Nulls package is pathetic, are you kidding me? Visiting family w/ cancer in two weeks, this wont work. Joan- if you think everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, that view isn't shared by Cruz Reynoso. Many years ago I personally asked Reynoso on a radio appearance he was making about his view of people who were threatening billboards that were purchased by a group in order to present their viewpoint on illegal immigration, resulting in the owner terminating the contract. He said that was fine with him. It's my belief that main purpose of the 1st Amendment was to ensure an open political dialogue in our country. Date: Saturday, 24 Sept. 2011 I am a long time West Boulder, University Hill resident. I have been on basic cable forever here, now from Comcast, which also provides FM signals over the cable. I pay Comcast $ 20.22 per month. $17.95 per month goes to Comcast. Of that total fee I pay the City of Boulder a total of $ 2.19 per month. City sales tax of .67 cents, franchise fee of $ 1.02,and a PEG fee of .50 cents. The City of Boulder, in my conversations with them, is not concerned with this current situation of non availability of Ch. 12 in Boulder, for those of us with old analog TV's. Ch. 12 made a poor decision to get off Comcast basic cable, as part of the digital change. KRMA Ch. 6 Denver TV did not make this same decision, as you did. Why ?? On your website you state that KBDI Ch. 12.1 is available on Comcast cable, yes at a terrible price, for us with analog TV's. As I read the Comcast price sheet, 'starter cable' is $ 60. per month, in order for me to receive Ch. 12. That is triple what I now pay Comcast. Over the air KBDI does not exist here in West Boulder, to my knowledge. When you dropped KBDI off Comcast basic cable, I went to the Boulder Comcast office location, and got two 'Comcast Digital Transport Adapter Self-Installation Kits' for my two old analog TV's. They were free. They do not work on my old TV's. Comcast says I must have a service person come to my home, at a minimum fee of $ 40. to see what the problem is. All this brain damage is just to receive one TV station, Ch. 12. Was this worth it ?? Do I have any other options ? Peter Richards

I like quite a number of your programs but find that God-awful "Democracy Now" horrible. It is biased and the title is totaly a joke. Please take it off. And as long as your programming is trying to bring a socialist bent to PBS you will not receive any donations from me.

Dave Kopel provides a different point of view. Those who are so offended by his presence would much rather view a one sided debate and commentary which fits perfectly into their ideological philosophies. If KBDI is truly a publicly driven program provider such nonsense would not be acknowledged. Dave and all others, no matter their beliefs, do a wonderful job each week participating in lively commentary. I hope Joan also forwards this message to all participants, including Mr. Norquist, as testament to the brilliant work everyone is doing. To: the hippies at PBS: Why don’t you put this in your pipe and smoke it…. On the tenth anniversary of 9-11, I was at home channel surfing between stations watching the variety of coverage of commemorations and documentaries fot the saddest of all days in this nation’s history. Some of these included graphic footage not seen in ten years of couples holding hands and jumping to avoid a certain fate of burning to death. Some flailed and screamed, others seemed almost peaceful and serene on their trip down, but witnesses all described the sound as being like a gunshot when these people hit the pavement. I was shocked but not too surprised that on channel 12, our local PBS station, they instead were airing the “9-11 was an inside job” croc-umentary “Loose Change”. It was prefaced as “an alternative perspective on 9-11”. I promptly dashed off two emails to the address of the station given at the bottom of the screen. This is the second, the first on is not suitable for print. Ock-ham’s razor also Oc-cam’s razor noun A rule in science and philosophy stating that entities should not be multiplied needlessly. This rule is interpreted to mean that the simplest of tow or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in term of what is already known. Also called the law of parsimony. “Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar” - Sigmund Freud If William of Occam were here today he would use his razor like Uma Thurman in “Kill Bill” to deal with these despicable 9-11 conspiracy theories. Appling Occam’s razor to the events of 9-11, the least complex and most probable explanation would be that of the 9-11 Commission Report. I believe there are several reasons why these odious conspiracy theories have achieved sustained hang-time and credibility. Nothing brings more truth to the old adage “ a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing”, than the impact of the internet on our society. For all its good and productive uses, it also allows for bad ideas from dubious sources which in the past would never make it past the threshold of a public library, to sit next to and appear to hold equal status with legitimate information. And then we have those celebrity nitwits who not unlike those internet offerings, hold an unearned elevated status in our society, will make false and outrageous assertions citing obscure internet articles as gospel. Yet while they are incapable of separating the virtual wheat from the virtual chaff they are abundantly capable of using their fame to lend credibility to and advance all manner of treasonous twaddle. It is difficult to account for why so many people these days cannot seem to tell the difference between the truth and pure nonsense. While the internet and popular culture deserve some of the blame, I believe the groundwork for our civilization’s retreat from reason began some time ago. Whether we are aware of it or not, the age of reason or age of enlightenment came to an end back in the 1960s. The study of Western Civilization fell out of fashion with our Left-leaning intellectuals in favor of the quasi-mystical-pseudo religion/pseudo-science of Political correctness and multi-CULT-uralism. It is a chaotic contraption of felling, sentiments and poorly thought out half-baked ideas, pretending to be a guiding philosophy. Instead of using an empirical system involving observation, consideration of past experiences and the formulation and subsequent modifications of hypothesis to solve an unknown, this PC-multiculturalism instead leads us down a line of thinking more in common with Alice in Wonderland. A trip down this road ends in a place where all “good thoughts” and ideas become self-licking ice cream cones but “bad thoughts” and ideas can get your head cut off. Everything is relative; there are no absolutes, no anchor points, no right and wrong, good and evil. All ideas have equal merit; feelings always trump fact and no one is qualified to disqualify anyone else’s theories. When explaining the unknown, one shouldn’t allow the past hundred generations of human experience to inhibit one’s imagination. In a world where critical thinking is a neglected and forgotten skill set, a rational fabricated out of thin air is just as good as any other. This may explain why Al Gore John Kerry and President Obama wish for our Constitution to become a “living document”, malleable enough to ben, twist and contort to fit the whims and conveniences of the day. It may also explain the un-falsifiable hypothesis called global warming; a theory, wrapped in scientific language, yet held up by its disciples above the scrutiny of the scientific method! As PC-multiculturalism gained popularity, it spread beyond the realm of academics and infected our lawyers, judges and the political class. Some of our law and policy makers, the “high priests” of our post-modern society, began to ignore our nation’s founding philosophies and instead, adopted this swirling, chaotic, baseless belief system as their baseline, compass and sextant. When direction and policy for our society were decided using these new guidelines, man y misguided missteps were made with predictably disastrous results. Many a queer and twisted mutation of logic were used to rationalize these mistakes and, unbelievably, to justify the repetition of the same misbegotten policies! Sound familiar? Since the time our intellectuals abandoned common sense and donned their PC goggles, the outlook of the world that they provide to us has changed! All manner of revisionist histories, historical amnesias of convenience and self-serving conspiracy theories have burst forth like weeds from the steaming piles of fertile and undisciplined imaginations. With the foundational root system of truth, logic and integrity as substantial as dandelion fluff, these paranoid Leftist cogitations have spread like contagious spores taking root in the collective consciousness of our society at large. In common with most of these revisionist histories and conspiracies is a nebulous and nearly non-existent nature of evidence, duct-taped to an implausible excuse for a motive. Among the current crop of crap are the “documentaries” called Loose Change and Fahrenheit 9/11. In conclusion: the act of creating or promoting these cinematic “big lies” when weighed against the profoundly treasonous and monstrously criminal implications inherent and implicit by defining 9/11 as an “inside job” (i.e. orchestrated by Bush/Cheney and executed by hundreds of FBI and CIA employees), make the “9/11 truther” equal to the Holocaust denier as among the most profound of obscenities against humanity. Their criminal obscenity is surpassed only by the actual perpetrators, the Nazis and Islamo-Nazis who devised and committed their respective atrocities. To put a finer point on it: As professional propagandists, Joseph Goebbels and Leni Riefenstahl are to the world-class murderers, Adolf(s) Hitler and Eichmann, so Michael Moore, Dylan Avery and PBS are to Osama Bin Laden and Mohammed Atta. The movie “Loose Change”, purports and promotes a theory as fact that a US president and vice president knowingly and willingly ordered hundreds of our national intelligence and law enforcement personal to commit mass destruction and mass murder of 3000 Americans on 9/11/01 to justify beginning a war in the Middle East. The only proper context for exposing an audience to this film would be the same context for showing any of the violent, racist, anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda films of the 1930s and 40s or any of the current Holocaust denier material. That context would be in the form of a cautionary lesson on the powerfully evil potential of a carefully crafted piece of propagandistic media. If there is a place for a conspiracy theory on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, it should be an exploration behind the motives and agendas of the folks who run PBS for choosing to present and promote this evil concept to Americans on this, of all days.

Now at first thought you may think this is a terrible idea, but this is a jobs creator, and lots of them, for example instead of the American people going to the grocery store the groceries come to you, think of all the ways food can be delivered by, bicycled, cars, trucked, grow your own, sell your own, cows, chickens fruits, vegetables, just like it used to be many years age before corporations own groceries stores. Next I would turn off all street lamps off at night, again America spends one hundred million dollars a day in fuel, not all is gasoline, home heating oil, natural gas, are part of the one hundred million dollars a day. I don’t know if you ever been out and your area lost power, it’s very dark outside without street lamps, this would limit the America public from traveling at night, saving energy, and get the American people to share their home out of fear of the dark, how many of our older citizens live by themselves with their home heat on high with no one but themselves to heat. Now Dome Homes are structures, that will house less than five thousand people, for example a central large dome structure where again people eat, attend school, entertainment. Then smaller dome type structures all attached to the larger dome home for people to sleep, care for the old, infant care, and again all tenants will have their own room with personal computer, cell phone, and microwave oven. All tenants will have a choice of what , when, and where they eat, for example dome homes will have a 24/7, buffet food, left over food will be frozen and made into frozen dinners and ate later for profit. All dome homes will have Burger Kings, McDonalds restaurants, stores where you could buy anything needed inside a dome home rooms, bars, casinos. The federal government well to get into the growing of crops, livestock business, to help lower the price of food, most tenants inside the dome homes will be poor, and expect to live form cradle to grave as cheap as possible. And if elected I will build another type of dome homes to grow some crops, like a large greenhouse, and livestock dome homes for animals. We are the nuclear families, every dome home will have fallout bomb shelters, and if ever used the force of the bomb should travel over dome structures. Now all states below sea level will need to built their Dome Homes on a twenty feet mounds of dirt and rocks, with no fallout shelter, and may not withstand a nuclear bomb. Now the government has a right to lower the cost of living, and stopping the invention of insurance will be a must in my administration, for example a vehicle sell for fifteen thousand dollars new, and then one week later it’s only worth ten thousand, but if that vehicle is wrecked one week later it’s still worth fifteen thousand dollars if insured, furthermore some insurances will replace a new vehicle after almost a year later after it’s sold, and by that time the vehicle is worth way less than ten thousand dollars, then there are American people stopping fast, opening car doors just to collect insurance. Now who will buy a fifty thousand dollar Hummer, or a one, two or three thousand dollar house if their was no insurance. Furthermore health care is out of control, a weeks stay in a hospital could cost more than thirty thousand dollars, billed to insurance and the federal government spends billions on health care each and every year. Moreover many people will die due to no insurance which will help the environment, due to fewer people. Now the health care system will solve their uninsured problems with lower cost, corporations which runs Americas health care systems will abandon the health care industry, make hospitals private, and the private hospitals will stop care for the worst cases. In addition many doctors will leave hospitals and start their own private practices which will lower the cost of health care. Now I’m worth more dead than alive due to life insurance, my friends who die with no life insurance are worth nothing. Also if elected I will stop all Medicare, Social Security entitlements for all Americans. and pay off all who contributed to the system! Now if elected, I must make a choice, if I do the same thing as other past Presidents I’ll have the same outcome, a country in debt, or I can make American great once more. America has more entertainment than any were on the planet, and I think it’s the presidents job to save the country by any means possible, and that means no gun control. For example, would as many people attend a N.B.A. basketball game if their were no gun control, just think of the twenty thousand people attending a basketball game with most people carrying a loaded gun, or all the colleges, high schools, and grade schools, and the many activities were the parents are carrying guns. Now my point is this would save the environment, most if not all school activities would be canceled, saving the planet from global warming. Furthermore the American public would travel by day and not by night, and the little old lady who lives by herself, in her house with the room temperature unbearably high, would fine some roommates, plus more people stay together for safety reasons, and saving the environment. However, we live in a world were there are two types of Americans ones with great wealth, and thoughts with little, so the people with great wealth will hire someone to protect themselves and their property, and for everyone who dies saving the rich mans property is environmental saving, and the rich person would restrict his activities also saving the planet from and environmental disasters. Also if someone is murdered the government will act swiftly to terminate that persons life, but if someone is in a far gunfight they’re be let off free from any arrest warrants, sounds like the wild west days. Now this is how I’m going to achieve the above. I’m not a lawyer, so I will need my Vice President to be a lawyer, and some one of color a Hispanic, fire all non elected judges, sue grocery stores for being a monopoly, Henry Ford proved assembly lines make things cheaper, and the price of food is to high, stop the federal food stamp programs of the United States, there are to many small grocery making two or three hundred percent profit on food products, and who will work for me if the government has hand outs. I have always been very curious about how people live/travel like this. Very interesting idea. Also goes to show that not all people who hobo it accross the country are not crazy. Though many people who are homeless are so because of drug, mental, or legal problems. I only caught it half way through but would watch it again. Its like a non glamorized version of Into the Wild .... and the star does not die at the end. Very interesting perspective.

I stumbled upon this last evening and found it very interesting,informative, and quite entertaining! the jiggly camera "effect" added a sort of "you are there" feel. His short snippets allowed for great forward movement to what otherwise may have become quite boring, and made me think of a "video tweet", (the future of movie making may look at this) giving the viewer enough fast info without boring us with meaningless dialog so often found in big budget film making. It had suspense, beauty, drama. for me i appreciate not getting a wall of swear words and lessons on how to have great sex, again so abundant in mainstream movies. i especially liked his dry humor about the wild animals! I really like the budget of this film it is so great to prove that even the little guy can make a great film. The sense of adventure is still alive and can be had "in your own backyard". I wish we could view it online so I could share this with friends and family out of state. I went to bed thinking...wow! that makes me want to jump trains! making it a true sucess! this video/story woke up the spirit of adventure in my own life....now what will it be? I am a 3 year CO transplant from SE Texas. I truly consider myself a very open minded person, especially for a white male from the South. I find some of your non-politically based programming to be quite entertaining, knowledgeable and even sometimes inspirational. However, it seems all the domestic news and political shows are EXTREMELY left leaning. Today I viewed Democracy Now which aired footage demonizing Texas Gov. Rick Perry (aka America's next President) and the Texas death penalty laws. Due to CPT's consistent airing of uni-partisan liberal agenda programming, I say GOOD RIDDANCE to CPT!!!

I too, stood with my mouth open and spent the rest of the week-end searching for the video to purchase and use as a teaching tool on Immigration. If you know of any used or less expensive copies, please let me know. All I can say is I am so ashamed of the country I love and believe in. How have we allowed this to go on so long? I stumbled on this program late last night right before I went to bed. I stood for at least ten minutes reading the subtitles with my mouth agape, and my eyes filling with tears before I finally sat to watch the program in its entirety. I had no idea what these men and women endured all while trying to find a means to help themselves and their families. They were treated no better than animals...plain and simple. I am a Denver native of Spanish and Irish descent, and remember my mother telling me stories of my grandparents who were migrant workers. She told me of their travels and struggles, but they were not from Mexico, and were born in this country. It broke my heart to really understand and see the hardships of the people from the bracero program. I saw my grandfather's face in some of the men who told their stories while trying to hold back their tears. My husband travels quite extensively, and I was telling him about the program. Thank you for posting all of the viewing times as we're planning an October 3rd viewing for him to see. I've struggled as everyone else has with the illegal issue, but to be perfectly honest, and especially after watching this program I have not and will not have ill feelings towards the people themselves, but hold the government responsible. I can say if I lived as these people live even in this day in Mexico, I can't blame them for wanting to get away. Obviously, the right way (legally) would be ideal, but with so much red tape what is a person to do? What would WE do if we were faced with the same situation? Best regards Katherine Stott

Just watched "JOB PLAN: WHAT IT MEANS TO COLORADO." What I noted was an off hand comment by you MS Banks near the end of the program related to racism & the Obama administration. In over 50 years of voting, Obama was the 1st President I've ever voted for as oppose to " the lesser evil." I'm a moderate liberal environmentalist and obviously pissed at him. This show should be shown every day on every channel until every person realizes the danger they and their families are in. It was very difficult to watch the inhumane way that chickens, cows, and pigs are treated. I am afraid that the consequences will continue to be devastating to people and animals and only to the companies when the consumer, as the film suggests, votes by the choices they make in the grocery store. The only other film, which is the predecessor to this one, A Diet For A New America, was so powerful in it's delivery of the message that we have a moral obligation to practice humane treatment of all animals. Mad cow disease was terrifying and yet now is forgotten. We as human beings and guardians of this earth and all living things have to do better for ourselves, the animals and our planet. I do cast my vote by choosing organic, local and in season produce. I will never buy food from the companies shown in this film. Thank you for having the guts to show this during prime time.

WOW! I am so thankful for the efforts of all the citizens involved in this documentary. I am also very thankful for CPT for airing this specail! Everyone should watch this program. I know I've already forwarded it on to many of my friends and colleagues. I love my country, and am proud of the heroes who were an unwilling party to this tragedy, whether they be victims, ground zero recovery personnel, or members of our military. I am ashamed and angered by our government's inability, or perhaps more likely, it's unwillingness to prevent the loss of life on 9/11. If we could only know the answers of why, and how to avoid similar threats in the future, that would be enough. Ultimately though, I dream of a government that works for it's citizens. We need a government who is accountable for it's actions, pure in intentions, and willing to what's right. Or, we simply need more programs like this to force the issue.

In Denver channel 2, 4, 7, and 9 all show basically the same words & ideas, even though the public in Denver and the U.S. are diverse and have diverse ideas, backgrounds based on educated history, literacy, math and science; therefore they should have different points of view. However these differences seem to be shown only on local uncontrolled, uninitiated or bribe programs. I appreciate Channel 12 and was happy to see some ideas that I have had for years in the movie Loose Change: An American Coup. I have been aware of Shaker Aamer, who is a man like the Vice Pres. Biden's favorite author, Greg Mortenson, that wrote, 3 Cups of Tea, and was helping to build schools for the communities in the 3rd world country of Afghanistan. 14 of 15 British victims who were dark skinned, unlike Greg Mortenson who went to Afghanistan to help with building schools were taken to Guantanamo, but after 6 years they have been returned & the U.K. residence & the British gov. awarded $Millions for them enduring unjust torture. The last British Father who was never charged, and cleared to leave with the others in 2007 is still being held for propaganda in Guantanamo, after being held for years in solitaire and not allowed to tell about his ordeals. I remember reading about how the Chinese in the Vietnam war tortured to get people to lie and to be in absolute control of what ever the Chinese gov. wanted. It appears that is the very same thing the U.S. has done as the U.S. even held 22 children for over 5 years with torture. There are a lot of people in the U.S. who believe only those who have evidence of a crime & are tried should be held in prison and not for more than 6 mo. and especially not naked like Obama ordered Bradley Manning, who has been suspected of telling about Obama and others committing war crimes that have resulted in innocent families being murdered. Some Christians in this country really believe in the scripture, "The Truth will Set You Free." I certainly do believe that one lie that hurts innocent people results in either more lies, confessions or someone else holds the people accountable. Thank you for caring about the truth, at least enough to look & discuss the facts we know.

From my perspective, as one who profoundly questions the official narrative of 9/11, I feel it is ULTIMATELY respectful of those who perished on 9/11, as well as the 60,000 who are ill and dying from having breathed toxic ash possessed of exotic properties, the staggering number of dead/dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, and all of us who ongoingly grieve...to broadcast Press for Truth and Loose Change on 9/11. Carving out a tiny bit of space on CPT, amid the barrage of mainstream 9/11 Specials, for the widows' voices and the voices of others who are appalled, horrified, and justifiably not buying the prevailing story, honors the victims (the ones who survived and the ones who can't speak for themselves) by asking everyone to do the their due dilligence, question, and pursue the truth until the BOTTOM has been gotten to, which it decidedly has not. It honors, as well, those who jeopardize their lives, livelihoods, professional reputations, and primary relationships in their committed efforts to discover and disclose, against formidable odds, the empirical, verifiable, forensic truth of 9/11.

The high point of my 9/11 day...was to witness some of the programs being aired today. Thank you Ch. 12 for having the guts to air what many people are not aware of. As a country, we've been lied to. The most important part of this film is that it causes us to think about the events that occured on 9/11. Those events have so shaped the political landscape in the last 10 years that the world is forever changed. Whatever your position may be, one cannot argue with the facts - how much money was spent on investigating Bill Clinton's infidelity vs. how much was spent on investigating this most important of events. This is a matter of public record. Look it up. Investigate for yourself. Think for yourself. This is the point of public television and radio - presenting a variety of viewpoints and giving individuals the opportunity to think for ourselves.

Airing "Loose Change" or talking about the facts of what really happened is in NO way disrespecting the events of 9/11 or the innocent people who died. Whether it's at the hands of Muslim terrorists or the financial terrorists of the US government...those thousands of people were murdered and their memories should be carried on and honored. Trying to get at the truth of exactly who orchestrated the events is what the issue is. Trying to find the correct voice for the dead is the issue. After you have had an opportunity to watch the attached video, I respectfully ask you to respond to me with any reasonable doubt that what you see and hear in this narration by David Chandler can in any way be explained by anything other than controlled demolition. If you so desire, look around in YouTube for video of the collapse of WTC Building 7, that came down at 5:20 P.M. that afternoon, never having been hit by a plane. You will see the same cutting charges blowing out windows several floors beneath the collapsing tower that you will observe in Chandler’s narration of the collapse of the North Tower. This and the landslide of evidence carefully, thoroughly explained in AEfor911Truth, and elsewhere, cannot just be ignored. This will not simply go away. Why not join your constituents who know the truth. To whom it may concern, Why isn't your programming respecting the memorial of September 11 by deciding to air the "Loose Change" series on this day? Of all the days to air this programming, you choose the one day that is asked by the victims and their loved ones for respect and memorial of the tragedy that befell this country ten years ago. Loose Change themselves have proclaimed that they were to honor this day with no protests, and I am disgusted that your network has not done the same. I am truly disappointed and disgusted as an American citizen, and demand a response to why this has happened.

Watching lose change and thinks this movie is stupid and I am not buying into it. What I think is rediculous is how they say we need to discuss all sides, but they are only showing movies that are for conspiracies. It's ridiculous and I am just getting pissed. It's supposed to be a day of remembrance not this. No matter what happens in the world their is always going to conspiracy theorist, but there is a time in a place for it. Very dissappointed!

Thank you for exploring this issue. What you are doing by having this coverage is exactly what the First Amendment and our Constitution is all about. Free speech is what this country stands for. Regardless of where a person stands, you are allowing for the conversation to occur. An editorial today in the Denver Post by Vincent Carroll calls people that are questioning what happened "disgraceful". The whole reason that Mr. Carroll can even write that piece is he is protected under our Constitution. I have the same right to ask these questions as he has to write his story. I was shocked to see that your station is airing loose change. I was a high school student when the attacks on 9/11 took place and was naive to politics involved. Over the past ten years I have researched endlessly to find the truth on what really happened that day because the official story presented by the officials didn't hold water for me. Thank you so much for presenting loose change to open up the issues for those that are skeptical of the so called "truthers". And for those of you that don't buy into any of the overwhelming evidence presented in this film, ask yourself this one question, from the perspective of all of those involved...what was the motivation for these attacks, and who stood to benefit?
