Where are my favorite International mysteries

My family and I are avid watchers of Montalbano and Don Matteo, Recently, we are no longer able to find CH 12-2. What happened? How and where can we watch these fine programs again? Regards, FJM

 Thank you for your email.

Colorado Public Television’s  KBDI channel 12 upgraded  it’s signal to high definition. Direct TV has a policy that only allows 2 of our standard definition or one high definition channel to be carried on their system. Direct TV dropped the 12.2 MHz  Worldview Channel on October 15th.

We do have a few options for our MHz fans. You can:

If you just need to tweak your existing antenna,  check out some tips from the CPT12 engineers, or contact CPT12 for over-the-air signal assistance.
  • MHz programing is still available at no additional monthly cost from Direct TV. It is part of their 'world direct package'. It does require a second , larger satellite dish to pull in  several free stations. There is a modest $20 fee for dish handling, but no installation fee or monthly subscription cost.  The number we were given that takes you to the right department  at Direct TV is 800-378-3309. To clarify, this second dish is normally for those wishing programming in foreign languages for a fee. The several 'public interest channels' (like MHz) are free.

If you have additional questions you can call us from Monday-Friday 9-5 pm and ask to speak with one of our Technical Service representative at 303-296-1212.

We would like for DirecTV to continue to carry our 12.2.  If you agree, please call DirecTV at 1 (800) 531-5000 and let them know.

All the Best,

Station unavailable

There is a message on my directv guide that says " as of October 15th this station will be unavailable". This refers to KBDI 12 and the 12-2 which carries MHz network. That brings me to the reason for this e-mail. I have been watching this programming for several years and find it to be most enjoyable, especially the International Mysteries. I have contacted directv and MHz but received nothing in return and no explanation for removing channel 12 from viewing. Is there anyway that I can continue to watch MHz International Mysteries? An answer would be most appreciated. Thank you, Elizabeth Kenaley eken1929@me.com

This month Colorado Public Television’s  KBDI channel 12 is upgrading it’s signal to high definition. Direct TV has a policy that only allows 2  of our standard definition or one high definition channel to be carried on their system.
You will still continue to receive 12.1 soon to be in HD on your direct TV service but they are dropping the 12.2 MHz service after October 14th.
We do have a couple of options for our MHz fans.
Lastly, CPT12 would like to have DirecTV continue to carry MHz. If you agree, please call DirecTV at 1 (800) 531-5000 to let them know.

Sincerely,

Joan

I have received a message on my tv guide that kbdi12-2 will not be available after 10-15-14. will the programs on that channel be on kbdi 12? I watch 12-2 all the time and will miss the International mysteries if I can't see them on 12. I have direct tv and receive both these channels

Watching a movie having to read the words is not enjoyable. I don't speak any language except English. We are in an English speaking country but your movies are in foreign languages...WHY!!! I ONLY RECEIVE COLORADO PBS CHANNELS....THUS I DONT GET TO WATCH ANY ENGLISH SPOKEN MOVIES. Colorado PBS SUCKS!!!!!!! How many movies do you watch having to read the spoken words???
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email and feedback.
I am sorry you find the International Mysteries Series so objectionable. Many of our viewers really enjoy them. Please check out the programming on Channel 12.1 and 12.2 if you do not like subtitles.
Sincerely,
Joan

Tuesday nights,--internationl mysteries

Hi, On Tuesday evenings what has been running from RAI is quite dismal. Bless their hearts, on Mondays we can endure Don Matteo, but the idiocy on Tuesday is too much. We can understand some relief from the heaviness of the Scandinavian dramas, but this stuff on Tuesdays is just too simple-minded and and an insult to your audience. We now automatically switch it off, preferably for other programs on the "Beady-Eye" (KBDI) of course. Can you pass this on to Mhz or give us a contact? I'm sure they would like to know. While I'm on a rant, can Tavis Smiley be informed that his plugs for Walmart are disgusting as well? Just to get rid of them we switch over to NewScan Cooking and many times forget to return. He loses audience and it tarnishes his image as well to have Walmart run all over his program the way they do. Thanks, John and Dianne
