Holy Crap, John! What are you and the whining conservative airhead going to do now that Gov. Hickenlooper has been cleared of all those trumped-up charges?
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email.
I have forwarded your comments to Mr. Caldera.
Thanks for watching and supporting Colorado Public Television.

Why don't you have a Progressive Show that would balance this Conservative Show. Remember CPT12 is for all Coloradans not just Conservatives!
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email.
Many of our viewers believe Democracy Now! serves as a counter balance to the conservative point of view of Devil’s Advocate.
Do you have any specific program you would suggest we air?
All the Best,
Joan

How phony and disingenuous is Mike Littwin? Why do hosts and newspapers give him any credibility whatsoever? He thinks Tom Tancredo has said some "outrageous things" and therefore shouldn't be a candidate for governor? As if he'd ever support a conservative ever? (He must be afraid of Tancredo the most.) As if he'd ever NOT support Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Diana DeGette and a long list of liberal gaff-machines because they've said outrageous things? Puhleeeze!

Delighted that CPT12 continues to broadcast this program, defying to at least a small extent, the consisten left-of-center bias in public television (and almost everywhere else.) As to last night's program, I found it laughable that Mike Littwin continues to be asked how conservatives can win. If they are smart (and they're usually not) they'll do exactly the opposite of everything he says. Does anyone think he wants them to win? I find him horribly annoying but I'd never try to shut him up as liberals consistently attempt to do to conservatives. Sadly, it even works sometimes. Too many Republicans and some conservatives have a self-esteem problem and are desperate to be liked by those who only want to shut them up and then destroy them. So, thanks again for keeping this "token" limited government program on the air and for once, getting out of the way!

I've gotten pretty tired of this program just being the Independence Institute's tv channel, most of the time just interviewing itself. I'd like to see more variety in this timeslot. Thanks.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your feedback.
I have forwarded your comments to our Director of Programming, Brad Haug.
With the cancellation of Inside Washington, there may be room to mix things up and move things around.

Gun control

Driving and ownership of vehicles is a privilege, but gun ownership is a right. We would save more lives with back ground and psychological tests before you can own or drive a vehicle. The media fuels the gun debate, because it sells ads. An example is the same night of the Aurora shootings, 14 people including an 8 and 12 yo we're killed in a one vehicle accident. There were 24 people in a pickup truck that ran of the road and hit a tree. The media gave it a small paragraph. My guess is they sell more ads to car than gun companies. Something to think about .

How to have friends watch later or repeat

I thought the Devil's Advocate with Jon Caldera and the Bill Moyers shows were excellent tonight and wanted to send friends a link so they could watch and I could also repeat part of the shows. The major networks have it so we can watch shows at convenient times - why are these two public television shows not available to watch later? If available, I hope someone will post the links.
CPT12 Response:

Marijuana Taxation

Program: Devil's Advocate with Jon Caldara (9 comments)
The ballot measure seeks to tax marijuana at industrial levels, like alcohol and tobacco. But marijuana is currently being produced at boutique levels. A 40 to 50 percent tax level on a 5 dollar pack of cigarettes. pr a ten dollar bottle of hooch, is significantly different than on a 200 dollar ounce of marijuana. If they want to tax it at industrial levels, they need to allow industrial levels of production. Farm fields of marijuana would drive the price down to 10 dollars an ounce, and then the 50 percent tax would not be so onerous.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email.
I have forwarded your comments to the host of Devil’s Advocate, Jon Caldera.
You make a good point. I think everyone agrees that it needs to be taxed. Just how much is the question.
All the Best,
Joan
