Mr. Caldara, Having just viewed your discussion with Christopher Hill, I just wanted to send a note to say what a tremendous work you did in such a short time. Thank you for making Public television such a worthwhile experience for your viewing audience. Cable/satellite television is a failure in comparison. Keep it up! Sincerely, CS

Sir, I would like to see a follow up video to the one posted on Youtube June 6, 2014 titled; the ins and outs of political polling with Magellan Strategies. Magellan Strategies (1685 Boxelder St., Louisville, CO 80027) David Flaherty, CEO. Elkhurst communications (1685 Boxelder St., Louisville, CO 80027). David Flaherty, CEO. One company is the blemish free face (Magellan A BBB rating) to the other which practices less than reputable practices (Elkhurst F- BBB rating). Again, they are the same entity residing in the same office. My opinion is that this is a means of erecting a smoke screen to shield questionable practices. Elkhurst is a robo-caller with a very bad history which a Google search can verify. Magellan’s information is collected from Elkhurst. I am curious to know how political data can be collected when the majority of individuals receiving these calls let it go to voicemail or simply hang up. I am sure that the FCC and BBB can provide more information on the frequency and number of complaints. This is the data used to change voting districts and sworn to in state courts. Additionally, I am unable to find David Flaherty in the University of Delaware 2001 yearbook as a senior which leads me to further question Magellan Strategies. Regards, William Sluyter

I am concerned about the program that aired on August 29th about the Douglas County School District voucher program. 1. Why did John not have any opposing views on the program. He only had two men who obviously had slanted views of the voucher program. The only real example they used is the child who had issues in the usual learning environment. They spoke of their child not having the opportunity to educated correctly because of his learning disability. This simply isn't true. There are programs set up in most school for those students who have learning issues. There is a school that deals with these students on a larger scale. They only used this one students issues. Most of the student's parents who want the voucher program are wanting them for religious schools, which is not allowed in the separation of church and state issues. The other item they brought up was about getting a better education in a private school. This simply isn't true. Are private schools better than public schools? New book says ‘no’. A book that offers a true intellectual study (Christopher Lubienski, a professor in the Department of Educational Organization and Leadership at the College of Education at University of Illinois, and Sarah Theule Lubienski, professor of mathematics education in the College of Education at the University of Illinois. says the opposite of the old thought that private schools produce better students. Here is the Web Page with information on their studies. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2013/11/05/are-private-schools-better-than-public-schools-new-book-says-no/ This program is about the effort to privatize public schools. Companies promoting educational test are paid enormous sums of money to produce, advertise and implement these tests. Douglas County School District's current effort to "villainize" The teacher's union (which DCSD"s BOE has deposed of) still tries to blame the union for the woes of the school district. I would love to see an honest program that brings in intelligent people who know the real facts about DCSD's issues with the administration (Liz Fagen and the BOE) and the issues that concern the Teachers, Parents and students of Douglas County School District.
