Whisper of Wilderness, Part 1

Acrylic Medium on 16x20 stretched canvas. In this opening episode, Jerry explains to his viewers what a monochromatic color scheme is. He explains why the canvas is tinted in a medium olive green instead of the traditional medium gray. Now he discusses the reference material and composition. He then shows how to underpaint the very background tones. He finishes by underpainting the road, hillsides, and background trees.
