Great Lakes Cultural Camps

Don heads to beautiful Manitoulin Island in Ontario with the host of the Great Lakes Cultural Camps to discover how difficult it was just to get water without our modern conveniences. After local firefighters demonstrate a water rescue with Don as the victim, Don is challenged to a game of snowsnakes with some community youth.

Fish Out of Water follows our funny, unassuming, urban hosts, Don Kelly and Dawn Dumont (Cree) on intensely demanding adventures every week in traditional aboriginal lands and historically significant Indigenous regions. Through a series of misadventures and challenges, Don and Dawn will be pushed to their 'limits' to reconnect with their roots and spiritual values - leading to a renewed vitality and vibrancy that they can then take along with them on their respective journeys through life.
