"Saving a Language" In the lead story: Harris Whitbeck goes to Chile to explore a unique program to revive the spoken word. Whitbeck meets a 25-year-old Chilean musician trying to keep the culture of a tribe alive by saving its language. Linguists estimate there are some 7,000 different languages still spoken in the world today.
