Program: America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated
I enjoy watching the episodes of America's Test Kitchen. They "say" that their recipes are free at America's Test Kitchen website. However, I am unable to get the entire recipe without "joining". They shouldn't say you CAN when you CAN'T!!
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email. We are glad you enjoy watching America’s Test Kitchen, but I am with you. It can be frustrating to have to join a website and be subjected to unwanted emails just to get a recipe.
I did do a little experiement and typed a madeup email address and I was granted full access to the recipes on their website. Not sure for how long, but you may want to give that a try.
Also, don’t forget your local library! They are an excellent source for cookbooks.
Bon Appetit!

Program: America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated
Are recipes from your cooking sites posted on line. I could not find the recipes for the shows I watched. Thank you.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Colorado Public Television cannot post recipes on our website for the shows we air. We do not own the copyright. However, you can often follow the link from the Program Detail page on our website to the series website to find recipes.
Different shows have different policies concerning recipes. Some shows withhold recipes in hopes you will buy their cookbooks or magazines. Some require you to register at their website before giving you access to their recipes. Others post their recipes free - no strings attached.
I also have had luck finding featured recipes posted by third parties in chat rooms by googling the name of the show, the name of the dish and “recipe”. You might want to give that a try.
I did a quick survey of shows we are currently airing and this is what I found:
Monet's PalateNo free recipes. They want you to buy the book.
America’s Test Kitchenand Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen require that you register at their websites and agree to a free trial subscription to their magazine before granting access to their recipes.

Katie Brown Workshoprequires you to sign up for a 14 day free trial membership.

Barbeque America,
Jascque Pepin: More Fast Food My Way,
Joanne Weir Cooking Class,
Lydia's Italy,
Mexico- One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless,
New Scandinavian Cooking,
Primal Grill with Steven Raichen,
Sara's Weeknight Meals,
Simply Ming and
Taste This!    - all offer their recipes free on line.

Perfect Day is a bit confusing. Create TV directs those interested in recipes to http://www.newscancook.com/but I did not see a separate heading for Perfect Dayrecipes. Perhaps they are mixed in with the rest. If so, they are available free with no strings attached.

Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and supporting Colorado Public Television.

Sincerely,
Joan
