Why do you insists on pretending to fundraise during CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING hours?!
Posted: December 9, 2013 by Bill Witherspoon
Program: Curious George
You have been running fundraising programming at the 8am hour for TWO WEEKS. My kids haven't been able to watch Curious George or Cat in the Hat for TWO WEEKS. We have taken to watching DVD's in the morning before school, and will likely to continue to do so. I will probably be ending my contributions to your station, since the programmers at CPT don't seem too bright and do not care about their viewers. Why in the WORLD would you run programming for old people (who absolutely ARE NOT watching at that hour) during a time when you always ONLY air children's programming? Surely you receive NO money by doing pledge drives during an air time when you are CERTAIN there are no viewers except CHILDREN watching your channel (8am-9am). This is not the first time this has happened, but it is the last time I won't say anything (and we will likely start giving our money directly to content creators by purchasing DVD's instead).
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email. We are sorry for the disruption to your kids’ routine.
Unfortunately, on-air fundraising is necessary to fuel CPT2’s budget which  makes our lineup of educational programming possible.
The station is always looking for new ways to raise support while striving to balance all programming and revenue goals. Sometimes this means we  must pre-empt the regular schedule.
Health and wellness programming have proven very popular in the morning time slot. Other viewers  have thanked us for providing access to information about nutrition and body, mind and spirit awareness.
May we send you out a Curious George DVD that you can play when the station is in fundraising mode? If so, please let us know where you would like it sent. We would like to make our fundraising less stressful for you and your kids.

Curious George Spring Fever Movie

When will you be airing the Curious George Spring Fever movie ?
CPT12 Response:
Thanks for writing.  Unfortunately we aren’t airing the Curious George movie.  The promos for the show are embedded into the kids’ programs so that is why you saw the advertisement.  Sometimes we can air them but in this case we were in a pledge drive which is one way we get funds to bring all the kid’s and other great programs to you.
