"Driving Towards the Daylight"

Program: Joe Bonamassa Live at the Beacon
The pledge break hosts during the Joe Bonamassa segment (1/19/13, approx. 12:50pm) who kept saying that "Driving Towards the Daylight" is grammatically incorrect came across as idiots and sullied the credibility of the station. Both "toward" or "towards" are entirely grammatically acceptable. The two hosts were so annoying that I turned the channel.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for the email and grammar lesson.
Sorry we lost you on the Pledge break. Since you know it is coming, maybe next time hit the mute.
We will be repeating Joe Bonamassa Live at the Beacon in February.

Joe is a fabulous musician. I thought he was just great.

Toward versus Towards
Posted: September 3, 2012 by Bob May
Program: Joe Bonamassa Live at the Beacon
With regard to the Joe Bonamassa Concert Fundraiser, Both Rebecca and Shana said that Bonamassa should use "toward." However, each is correct when used in its proper context: http://grammarist.com/spelling/toward-towards/ What is Shana's last name? There are only so many ways to say "obey!" I tried to find her name on the web site but was unsuccessful. Best Regards for your GREAT programming! I even enjoyed the intermissions! Bob May
