Program: Ethos: A Time for Change
Ethos documentary is so one-sided and wrong on many points. Very disappointed that such a documentary (term used lightly) would be aired.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email although  I wish you had been more specific.
Ethos is a “Point of View” piece so the “one sided” comment does not surprise me. I am interested in what you found so wrong.
Sincerely,
Joan

You know this guy is a fraud right? The entire film is stolen footage from other documentaries which he was never given permission to use or license. He is being sued by Sony Pictures who owns half the footage. And you are promoting this sham? Maybe you should wait for the cease and desist letter.
CPT12 Response:
Thank you for your email.

Thank you so much for airing this remarkable film. Answered a lot of unanswered questions, muses. This filmmaker did an excellent job of taking a complex and covert dynamic and disecting it into its component parts. Knew corporations and money were running this government/country but didn't really understand how it actually came about. I appreciate the fact that we as consumers can impact and cause change.

Description: DVD OF PROGRAM
This powerful new documentary investigates the flaws in our systems, and the mechanisms that work against democracy, our environment and the common good. What is the source of these institutional mechanisms which are so clearly anti-democratic, so contradictory to the values we hold in common - and yet so firmly embedded that they seem beyond discussion? This filmopens a Pandora’s Box that has its roots in the crossroads where capitalism meets democracy and powerful elites put profit before people. Finally, Ethos offers a solution whereby you – the viewer – can regain control using the one thing they do care about – your cash.

- DVD - Heist: Who Stole the American Dream

This documentary traces the worldwide economic collapse to a secret memo written over 40 years ago at the behest of the US Chamber of Commerce. The memo called for a makeover of government through corporate control of the media, academia, the pulpit, arts and sciences, and destruction of organized labor and consumer protection. Heist exposes how all of this led us to the global financial crisis of 2008 and the continued dismantling of the American middle class. No other film goes as deeply in explaining the greatest wealth transfer of our time - providing a clear, concise and fact-based explanation of how we got into this mess, and what we need to do to restore our representative democracy.

- DVD - Howard Zinn: You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train
In these turbulent times, Howard Zinn is inspiring a new generation. This acclaimed film looks at the life of the renowned historian, activist and author who became an academic rebel and leader of civil disobedience in a time of institutionalized racism and war. His influential writings shine light on and bring voice to factory workers, immigrant laborers, African Americans, Native Americans and the working poor. Narrated by Matt Damon and featuring music by Pearl Jam, Woody Guthrie & Billy Bragg, this 2010 commemorative edition also includes over an hour of bonus features and interviews.

- BOOK - Ecological Intelligence: The Hidden Impacts of What We Buy

Daniel Goleman, bestselling author of Emotional Intelligence now brings us Ecological Intelligence—revealing the hidden environmental consequences of what we make and buy, and how  we can drive the essential changes we all must make to save our planet and ourselves. Goleman explains why we as shoppers are in the dark over the hidden impacts of the goods and services we consume, victims of a blackout of information about their detrimental effects.
But the balance of power is about to shift from seller to buyer, as a new generation of technologies informs us of the ecological facts about products at the point of purchase. This “radical transparency” will enable consumers to make smarter purchasing decisions, and will drive companies to rethink and reform their businesses.
