Program: Henning Mankell's Wallander
We're wondering why you keep showing the same 2-3 episodes of Wallander over and over again. We were very excited to see you were showing Season 1 starring Krister Henriksson. I think we may have seen the first 2 episodes of that season when all of a sudden the station switched to showing a different Wallander series starring Rolf Lassgard, but not in any particular order with the same few episodes being shown over and over again. Why can't you show one or the other in episode order? This is really annoying for your viewers. Deborah Campbell in Loveland, CO
CPT12 Response: Thank you for your email. This one is pretty confusing.
According to Wikipedia, there have been 3 actors that have played Kurt Wallander.
Between 1994 and 2007, all nine Wallander novels were made into films in Sweden starring Rolf Lassgård as Wallander.
From 2005 to 2006, 13 new stories, starring Krister Henriksson as Kurt Wallander were produced as a Swedish Televison Series.
Krister Hendriksson also played Wallander in 13 Swedish language films separate from the 2005-2006 series.
The BBC British Television Series Wallander consists of 9 episodes originally broadcast from 2008 until 2012 and stars Kenneth Branagh. This series is in English.
If you check the Wikipedia website, they breakdown each series by subtitles. That may serve as a way of knowing which Wallander actor will be featured.
With that said, I checked the MHz website and it apears that the last episode scheduled to air is January 18th with Krister Hendriksson in the lead.
