KBDI’s Shari Bernson will be On-Air Talent in National PBS '60's Live' 3-Hour Music Celebration

DENVER – (September 2, 2008) – When Mama Michelle Phillips and other icons of the 60s gather September 13 for a once-in-a-lifetime musical celebration from a San Francisco PBS studio, Denver’s Shari Benson of KBDI-Channel 12 will be on air tracking results from stations across the country.
“The 60’s Live!” will air Saturday, Sept. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. and repeat at 9 p.m.on KBDI-Channel 12.
“The 60’s Live!” remembers and rejoices an unforgettable time of profound change and music that remains just as relevant in today’s world,” Bernson said. “We’re excited that our viewers can tune in and learn how they can keep the dreams and sounds of the 1960s alive – only on PBS.”
The KQED-TV event will include performances from The Byrds’ Roger McGuinn, Jackie DeShannon, The Zombies, The New Rascals, The Association, Iron Butterfly, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Petula Clark and many more.
Vintage hall-of-fame hits by The Lovin’ Spoonful, The Miracles, Barry McGuire, The Mamas & The Pas and other all-time favorites will be featured.
“Mr. Tambourine Man,” “What the World Needs Now is Love,” “California Dreamin’,” “People Get to be Free,” “Never My Love,” “She’s Not There,” “Eve of Destruction,” “Groovin’,” “Do you Believe in Magic,” “Wedding Bell Blues” and “The Tracks of My Tears” are just some of the favorite tunes that will be performed.
