Candidate Debates for Congressional Districts CD 2, 6 and 7 Scheduled in October in Colorado Decides Series
DENVER – (October 2, 2008) – Debates of Congressional candidates in districts 2, 6 and 7 and encore debates of ballot amendments are scheduled in October in the Colorado Decides election series.
An interview with Congressional District 4 candidate Betsy Markey has been scheduled, and producers are working with the staff of Rep. Marilyn Musgrave to schedule a taping date.
The debates, airing Monday evenings at 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. on KBDI-Channel 12, also will be available after the broadcasts on the websites of the series’ partners: the Rocky Mountain News, CBS4 and KBDI-Channel 12. The broadcast schedule includes:
October 6: Encore broadcasts of Amendment 46, 8 p.m., and Amendment 48, 8:30 p.m.
October 13: Congressional District 6—Mike Coffman and Hank Eng, 8 p.m.; an interview with Congressional District 4 Democratic Candidate Betsy Markey; 8:30 p.m.
October 20: Congressional District 2 – Jared Polis, Scott Starin, Bill Hammons and Joe Calhoun, 8 p.m.; an encore Amendment debate; 8:30 p.m.
October 27: Congressional District 7 – Rep. Ed Perlmutter and John Lerew, 8 p.m.; An encore Amendment debate, 8:30 p.m.
The congressional debates will be hosted by CBS4’s Jim Benemann with nelists from the Rocky Mountain News and KBDI. The amendment debates will be hosted by KBDI’s Eric Sondermann with panelists from CBS4 and the Rocky Mountain News.
