Senate Bill 170 is highly controversial piece of legislation that guarantees tuition equity for all Colorado graduating high school students who have either graduated or at least attended a Colorado high school for three years, or received a general education diploma within the last five years. This includes illegal immigrants and the children of illegal immigrants.
The bill, which is waiting for approval in the house appropriations committee, has garnered support from many high-profile personalities in Colorado. Both opposition and those in favor are making this a hot issue amongst Colorado voters and both the House and Senate.
Each week Studio 12 explores hot issues and fascinating topics with provocative and knowledgeable guests. Studio 12 is the only primetime television show in Colorado that encourages viewers at home to call in and join the discussion.
