DENVER – (April 2, 2009) – World powers, including the U.N. Security Council, have so far failed to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The prospect of a nuclear Iran leaves the United States with two possible choices: accept it and focus on slowing the growth of its arsenal, or wage targeted military strikes – either on its own or by Israel. To what lengths will governments go to prevent a nuclear Iran? Margaret Warner, senior correspondent for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, will moderate a Miller Center National Debate on how the U.S. should deal with Iran, airing Friday, Apr. 10 at 7 p.m. on KBDI-Channel 12 (PBS). |
