DENVER – (June 25, 2009) – Continuing to be at the forefront in airing thought provoking and controversial programming, KBDI-12 will air back-to-back documentaries – 9/11 Press for Truth and America: Freedom to Fascism – on Thursday, July 9 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., respectively. Both programs will repeat on KBDI-12 July 10, 11 and 12. A full schedule of air times can be found at www.KBDI.org.* 9/11 Press for Truth, which claims a 9/11 cover-up, aired on Colorado Public Television in June – the first airing on a U.S. broadcast television station. America: Freedom to Fascism questions the legitimacy of the federal income tax. 9/ll Press for Truth emerged from a group of grieving activist families that joined together to demand a press for truth. Five of the families – including three of the famous “Jersey Girls” – tell their story in the documentary, providing an argument for why 9/11 still needs investigation. The families found an ally in Paul Thompson, who wrote a definitive 9/11 timeline, and also found allies in the filmmakers who stitched together rare, overlooked news clips, buried stories and government press conferences, revealing what is portrayed as a pattern of lies, deception and spin. The documentary asserts that although independent investigations began within weeks of both Pearl Harbor and the Kennedy assassination, the same was not true of the attacks of September 11, and the formation of the 9/11 Commission was strongly opposed by many in Washington, including the Bush Administration. The film also asserts that due to pressure from the 9/11 families, led by twelve calling themselves the Family Steering Committee, the first hearing began 14 months after the attack. America: Freedom to Fascism was the final documentary of late filmmaker Aaron Russo who explored the theory that Americans are not required to pay a federal income tax. The documentary includes interviews with government officials, attorneys and politicians. ###
