        DENVER – July 8, 2009 – C. Wes Cowan, the super sleuth and face of popular PBS series Antiques Roadshow and History Detectives, will be in town on “roadshow” business July 25 – and he is sticking around for a couple extra days to meet and greet his KBDI-12, Colorado Public Television fans.

KBDI will hold a complimentary reception for Cowan at its KBDI studios, 2900 Welton, on Thursday, July 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cowan will deliver a 30-minute talk about his experiences with History Detectives and being an appraiser and auctioneer with Antiques Roadshow, followed by questions and discussion. It’s a chance to network with fans of both television series.  Appraisals will not be conducted.

Cowan’s credentials include a Ph.D. in anthropology and ownership of an auction company that specializes in historical Americana. He is looked to for informed opinions on almost any item from our national past.
