DENVER – (November 10, 2009) –  General Colin Powell will be among the guests in a special Veterans Day salute on Studio 12 Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Colorado Public Television channel 12.1. 

Program host Steffan Tubbs will welcome the retired four-star Army general via phone as the first program guest.

Other distinguished panelists will include Purple Heart recipient Wilson Colwell, who landed in Normandy in the early hours of June 6, 1944; Timothy Davis, president of The Greatest Generations Foundation; and Jim Sheeler, the author of the Pulitzer Prize article and book, Final Salute.

Each week Studio 12 explores hot issues and fascinating topics with provocative and knowledgeable guests.  Viewers may call in or send questions via the station’s Facebook fan page during the live program.
