DENVER – November 14, 2009) – A 28-episode marathon of NORTHERN EXPOSURE fan favorite will air Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving when Channel 12  bids farewell to the popular series.

Viewers cast their votes last month for their most popular episodes with the “Aurora Borealis” episode selected as the top choice. 

Channel 12 is completing its fifth airing of the series since 2007. The final six episodes will air in back-to-back episodes Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 23-25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

The 28 most popular shows will be broadcast in the order they aired in a three-part marathon:

Part 1: Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving Day) from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Continuing its commitment to well-written, high quality programs, the station will begin airing the original Twilight Zone series and Family Ties during some of the Northern Exposure time slots in mid-December.  The Twilight Zone series first aired on broadcast television 50 years ago this fall.
