DENVER – (July 18, 2010) – Colorado Inside Out, the flagship public affairs series on Colorado Public Television (CPT12) brought home the Emmy for Best Interview Discussion Program for the second year in a row at this year’s Heartland Regional Emmy Awards.

"Circa 1959," a Colorado Inside Out “Time Machine” episode, collected the honors. Co-Produced by Dominic Dezzutti and Larry Patchett, the 1959 episode featured regular players Raj Chohan, Patricia Calhoun, David Kopel, Craig Silverman and Kevin Flynn.

This was the second major regional honor that Colorado Public Television has picked up in 2010. In March, Studio 12 received Colorado Broadcasters Association’s Award of Excellence for Best News or Public Affairs Special.

For producers Larry Patchett and Dominic Dezzutti, this was the eighth trip back to the past. The back in time concept for CIO is the brain child of regular panelist, David Kopel.
