Transition Movement: The Growing Green Initiative

DENVER – (August 17, 2010) – This week host Tamara Banks takes a look at the growing Transition Movement on Studio 12, Wednesday, August 18 at 8:00 p.m.
The Transition Movement is characterized by small grassroots operations that focus on community involvement and ecologic sustainability while diverting away from big business. Tamara Banks will explore such topics as eat local and buy local initiatives, natural resource conservation, green building, urban and suburban gardening options, healthier food and lifestyle choices and perma cultures.
Joining the discussion will be Michael Brownlee of Transition Colorado, David Greenwald from Transition Louisville, Chef Ann Cooper of Renegade Lunch Lady and Shannon Francis of the Indigenous Perma Cultures from the Woodbine Ecology Center.
