Author, expert on children and READING, white is

Denver- (September 20, 2010) –Keeping kids interested in reading is a continual process and an important goal for families and educators across America. Studio 12 host Steffan Tubbs of Colorado Public Television (CPT 12) will be talking with Monte White, advocate and author on the power of reading, on CPT12’s weekly program airing Wednesday September 22 at 8:00 p.m.

White is a children’s book author. With a mission of helping his daughter understand the importance of reading, he has written five books about a young girl named Naja and the adventures she has with her father. His books include: Naja’s Sleepover, Naja Plays Hide-Go-Seek, Naja vs. Peoples Water Fight, Daddy’s Shopaholic and Daddy, Can You. White’s writing and work with his daughter has become a passion for teaching other fathers the influence they can have on their children to read.  He volunteers at various schools and spreads his love of reading and books. Tubbs and White will be discussing modern fatherhood and various children’s issues around social media and technological advances.
