IN FOCUS WITH EDEN LANE: DRACULA DIRECTORS AND “PAINTED VIOLIN”EXHIBIT DENVER – October 13, 2010 - Channel 12’s local arts program In Focus with Eden Lane will keep things in the October spirit when she speaks with two production company directors of Dracula. Lane will also take us to the premier of this year’s “Painted Violin” exhibit. This exciting show will air on Sunday, October 17th, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Dracula is a terrifying psychodrama that pits the count against two vulnerable young women. The story revolves around the valiant men who risk everything to save their lives—and their souls. The first company performing this play is the Denver Center Theatre Company. Their production is directed by Gavin Cameron-Webb, whose directing career has taken him all over the United States. The second company performing Dracula is Colorado Ballet. Colorado Ballet is celebrating their 50th season and director Gil Boggs says Dracula is their most popular work. Boggs danced with American Ballet Theatre for two decades and is now in his fifth season with Colorado Ballet. In Focus will talk with both of these directors. Finally Lane takes us to the premier exhibit, “Painted Violin”, benefiting the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. This is the 7th annual Painted Violin fundraiser. Hand painted original works of art are raffled, auctioned and sold. Join Eden Lane this Sunday on Colorado Public Television, Channel 12.
