Channel 12 Special Boots Season with Discussion on Colorado Giving Day, Leadership of Vernon Jordan
Denver- (November 18, 2010) – The holiday months of 2010 are filled with excitement, the spirit of giving and two important reminders of great leadership in the Colorado non-profit community. Colorado Public Television’s signature program, Studio 12, will focus on the December groundbreaking project of the Community First Foundation (CFF) and the power of philanthropy, and the story of Vernon Wells, winner of Denver Rotary’s Branch Rickey award. Join us on Wednesday, November 24th at 8:00 p.m. for this important community program.
Host, Tamara Banks, will discuss how the CFF Colorado Gives Day December 8 may impact Coloradans as well as serve as an example for the rest of the nation. Panelists will include Marla Williams, Executive Director of CFF, John Arigoni, President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Denver, Douglas Martine, Vice President of Black-Tie Colorado and the President of First Bank Koger Probst.
Steffan Tubbs will follow this conversation with a special interview with Vernon Wells of the Toronto Blue Jays, the winner of the 2010 Denver Rotary Branch Rickey award for outstanding service.
