Colorado Public Television Welcomes Salvador “Sal” Gomez and Eric Bengston to its Board of Directors
DENVER - November 29, 2011 – Salvador “Sal” Gomez, Chairman and Founder at National Hispanic Business Information Clearinghouse and President/Owner at Source One Management Inc. and Eric T. Bengston, General Manager of Swift Digital, the social media division of Swift Communications have been named to the board of directors for Colorado Public Television, CPT12.
Gomez is the President and Chief Executive Office of national information management outsourcing company, Source One Management, which he co-founded in 1985 with partner Ruth McKinney. Mr. Gomez oversees all aspects of the firm's operations and management. Additionally, Gomez is the Chairman and Founder at the National Hispanic Business Information Clearinghouse.
Formerly, Gomez served as the National Director/Co-Founder of the U S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Previously he had been the USHCC’s chief operating officer. Mr. Gomez also was on the research and policy analysis staffs of Kansas Governors Bob Bennett and John Carlin, and he served in the Reagan White House. Gomez was also a member of the Reagan-Bush Presidential Transition Team.
He is the recipient of numerous awards including: U. S. Small Business Administration Wall of Fame, Life Time Achievement Award from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneur of the Year from the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s and Business Man of The Year from the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Gomez graduated from the University of Kansas and is a Vietnam-era veteran.
Bengston leads social media and marketing efforts for Swift Communication’s digital division. In this role Bengston directs all business operations, sales and management activities and revenue responsibilities. Prior to joining Swift Digital, Bengston founded and presided over Visenza, an enterprise cloud computing solutions company for small business. At Visenza, Bengston raised revenues, partnered with more than 150 affiliates with ShareASale and worked closely with analyst firms: Forrester, IDC and Aberdeen.
Bengston worked in client services and business development at Quark, Inc., and at Resort Technology Partners where he had responsibilities for a cross-functional international team management and Agile development. At RTP, he served as the ecommerce development manager with responsibilities in content management technologies.
Bengston also held positions at IBM, Qwest Cyber Solutions and Sophic Solutions in business process improvement, software migration and customer satisfaction improvement.
He is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Colorado, Denver in business administration and holds a Master’s Certificate in project management from George Washington University.
