Colorado Public Television to Offer Extensive Local Election Coverage September 10, 2012 - Denver, CO – Colorado Public Television (CPT12) continues our long history of providing the best election coverage of local candidate and ballot issues with our signature program, Colorado Decides. Together with our partner, CBS4, we’re bringing an in-depth, balanced look at this year’s voting choices with third-party candidate forums, “de-Brucing” the Denver budget and Amendment 64 that proposes to legalize the possession of marijuana. We’ll also feature the congressional candidates as they face each other in the Colorado Decides debates for districts 2, 4, 6 and 7. Friday Sept. 21st Tune in for two third party candidate forums as our hosts sit down with candidates from four different congressional races. Friday Sept. 28th Tune in for a debate featuring both sides of Amendment 64, which would legalize the possession of marijuana. Friday Oct. 5th Tune in for a debate about the measure in Denver that would “de-Bruce” or allow surplus revenue to be kept by the city. Friday Oct. 12th Tune in for a debate featuring the candidates running for Congress in District 7, incumbent Rep. Ed Perlmutter and challenger Joe Coors. Friday Oct. 19th Tune in for a debate featuring the candidates running for Congress in District 6, incumbent Rep. Mike Coffman and challenger Joe Miklosi. Friday Oct. 26th Tune in for a debate featuring the candidates running for Congress in District 4, incumbent Rep. Cory Gardner and challenger Brandon Shaffer. Friday Nov. 2nd Tune in for a debate featuring the candidates running for Congress in District 2, incumbent Rep. Jared Polis and challenger Kevin Lundberg.
