Denver, CO- June 10, 2008- The 1927 time travel episode of “Colorado Inside Out” on KBDI-TV 12 has been nominated for a 2008 Heartland Regional Emmy Award. During this episode the panel went back in time to discuss the issues and concerns of Colorado in 1927: predictions for the presidential election of 1928, the second term of Denver Mayor Ben Stapleton, technological advancements of the time and issues with violence against immigrants. Program host Raj Chohan of CBS4 News and panelists Patricia Calhoun, editor of Westword newspaper, David Kopel, research director of the Independence Institute, Rocky Mountain News reporter Kevin Flynn and political commentator Dani Newsum, each got into character to portray historical figures important to Colorado in 1927. The 22nd Annual Heartland Regional Emmy Awards & Silver Circle Presentations will be held Saturday, July 19 in Lakewood.
